Aaron BATTERSON

Aaron Batterson was born near Sciotoville, Scioto County, Ohio, October 7, 1843, and died at his home near Oakdale, Nebraska, April 2, 1917, aged 73 years, 5 months and 25 days. He was married at Sciotoville, Ohio in August 1869 to Mary Frances Huddleston, who died in November 1904. They were the parents of nine ch8ildren, six of whom are living, W. M. Batterson of Nebraska City, Mrs John Rauth of Manley, Mrs E. E. Simmons of Albion, Mrs H. E. Clark of Iowa falls, Iowa, Clyde A Batterson of Hastings, Mrs A. E. Edwards of Oakdale. The children were all at the bedside of their father during his last illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home, conducted by Rev. J. P. Blakeley, and interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery.

Bertha, the six month old daughter of W. G. BATTERSON, died Sunday, August 14, 1904 and was buried in the Oakdale Cemetery.

MARY FRANCIS HUDDLESTON BATTERSON

Mrs Aaron BATTERSON, who lived near Tilden, died last Friday, November 11, 1904 and was buried Sunday. The funeral was held from the Methodist Episcopal Church at this place. Rev. R. J. MCKENZIE officiated. The body was laid to rest in the Oakdale Cemetery. Mrs BATTERSON had been a resident of this community for several years.

WALTER GEORGE BATTERSON

Walter BATTERSON died at Kansas City on December 16, 1906. The remains were brought to Oakdale and funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church on Friday at 11 o’clock.
