ANN C BON

Ann C BON died May 25, 1908 in Rock Island, Illinois. Funeral services were held in Oakdale at the home of her son, C. D. BON on Thursday. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery.


Obituary-The Oakdale Sentinel-April 13, 1889

D. B. BON

The very unexpected death of D. B. BON throws a gloom over this whole community. On last week Wednesday, Mr. BON, in apparent good health, left for a trapping anf fishing trip to Holt County, in company with James OSTRANDER and Henry CLINGMAN. They stopped at Goose Lake until Saturday morning, when Mr. BON was taken sick with some bladder complaint from which he suffered intense agony. He was brought home as speedily as possible, arriving here about sundown. Physicians were called immediately, but he had gone beyond the skill of mand and growing weaker from day to day he passed away Thursday forenoon (April 11, 1889). Funeral will take place this Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

LEILA I [FRASIER ] BON

Abridged: The remains of Mrs C. D. BON, whose death occurred at Omaha on Wednesday, March 9, 1921, were brought to Oakdale last Sunday and funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the M. E. church, Conducted by Rev. C. L. MYERS. Interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. Leila I. FRASIER was born at East Troy, Wisconsin, October 10, 1859. When a small girl she moved to Durand, Wisconsin, and at that place on April 7, 1879, she was united in marriage to C. D. BON. During the year of their marriage Mr. and Mrs. BON came to Nebraska, locating on a claim in Madison County, about six miles from the Antelope County line. In the early 80s they came to Oakdale and this place was the home of the deceased, excepting during short intervals during the early days until last fall when she removed to Omaha. Besides her husband there survives five sons and three daughters - Mark BON of Richmond, California.; Blaine BON of Portland, Oregon.; John BON of San Francisco, California; Ben BON of Calwa City, California; Lila BON of Omaha; Helen BON (Mrs. Benj. Griffith) Wisner; Mary BON of Omaha; Wilbur of the University of Nebraska. Two sons Phillip and Horace, preceded their mother to the grave. Three sisters also survive; Mrs. Sarah (FRAISER) WALLACE of Durand, Wisconsin.; Mrs. Frane (FRAISER) PAGE of Honey Creek, Wisconsin.; Mrs. H. M. ORLADY of Durand, Wisconsin.
