DANIEL BRENNAMAN

Daniel BRENNAMAN was born March 28, 1861 in the State of Ohio, moved to Dayton, Iowa in his youth with his parents, Daniel and May BRENNAMAN and there grew to manhood. He was married to Mary E SPRINGER, September 10, 1881 at Lehigh, Iowa where they lived until the spring of 1862 when they came to Oakdale, Nebraska. To this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters, Orville of Newell, SD, Fern BROWN of Meadow Grove, Sylvia IVES and Lloyd of Oakdale. Besides these, he leaves to mourn him his beloved wife, two sisters and one brother. Mrs Emma RUDIG of Griswold, Iowa, Mrs Sadie AGGSON of Fort Morgan, Colorado, and Sam BRENNAMAN of Morill, NE, seven grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives. His task in life was principally farming which he did successfully until 1907 when he moved into Oakdale where he had comfortably resided until his demise. He was of the turdy pioneer type and did his work well, he was a willing and helpful neighbor. He was converted in his last illness and often expressed his wish to go home. The end came peacefully at his home March 30, 1930 at the age of sixty-eight years and two days. His presence will be greatly missed in his home and in the community. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery.

MARY ELIZABETH SPRINGER BRENNAMAN

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary BRENNAMAN were held in the Methodist church here Thursday, September 5, Guy. B. DUNNING, pastor of the Park Avenue Church of Christ in Norfolk, officiating. Interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. Mary Elizabeth SPRINGER was born near Duncan, Illinois September 10, 1866, the youngest of seven children of Noah SPRINGER and Rebecca SPRINGER. In her early life she moved with her family to Webster county, Iowa, where she later taught school until her marriage. She was married to Daniel BRENNAMAN at Lehigh, Iowa, on December 9, 1884, where they lived until the spring of 1892, at that time coming to Oakdale, Nebraska, and locating on a farm.

To this union four children were born. On their arrival in this community they located on a farm two miles south, and later purchased and operated several different farms, upon two of which they built the original improvements. Farming was their vocation until 1907 when they retired and moved into Oakdale. Here Mr. BRENNAMAN passed away on March 39, 1930. Mrs. BRENNAMAN continued her residence here until failing health compelled her to abandon her home. In 1941 she moved to Newell, South Dakota, where she lived with her son and was tenderly cared for until her passing September 1, 1946. She leaves to mourn her death her four children, Orville W. BRENNAMAN, Newell, SD., Mrs. Fern R. BROWN of Kearney, Nebraska, Mrs. Sylvia W. IVES of West Point, Ca., and Lloyd D. BRENNAMAN of Ewing, Nebraska; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one brother, N. S. SPRINGER, Rinard, Iowa, numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
