Obituary-The Oakdale Sentinel-May 17, 1918

MARY INEZ BOWDITCH BRUEBAKER

Mrs Webster BRUEBAKER died last Saturday evening, May 11, 1918, at her home in the northeast part of town after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the United Brethren Church, conducted by Rev. J. L. HAYDEN and interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. Mary Inez BOWDITCH was born in the State of Vermont, May 9, 1866 and at the age of 16 was united in marriage to Horatio GEDDES. To them were born five children, three of whom are living, two in Canada and one son, Frank GEDDES of Company D, 109th Engineers, Camp Cody. The latter arrived last Friday and was with his mother during her last hours. Mr GEDDES died in the early 90’s and in 1893 the subject of this sketch was married to Webster BRUEBAKER. Seven children were the issue of this union, six of whom are left with the father, Mrs Philip TRUDEAU and Walter BRUEBAKER of Vermillion, SD, Charles, Lillie, Clarence and Fred of Oakdale.
