BILLY CALVIN CRAWFORD

Billy Calvin CRAWFORD came to brighten the home of Mr and Mrs Pete CRAWFORD the 29th day of July 1927, and left this word the 22nd day of December 1928, at the age of 16 months and 23 days. He leaves to mourn his death, his father, mother and one brother and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. KAUFFROATH in the United Brethren Church Sunday, December 23, afternoon and burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery.

IRA C. CRAWFORD

Funeral services for Ira C. CRAWFORD were held in the Methodist church here Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. A. J. Lamm. Burial was made on the Oakdale Cemetery. Ira C. CRAWFORD was born at Huntington, West Virginia, February 27, 1875, the son of Calvin CRAWFORD and Fannie CRAWFORD. At the age of nine years he moved to Joplin, Missouri where he resided a short time and while still a young boy he moved to Neligh, Nebraska. Here he attended high school and college, moving to Oakdale at the age of eighteen where he worked as a farm hand. At the age of twenty-two he was married to Phebe L. PREVO of Oakdale. To this union was born four children, one child, Ellis CRAWFORD, died in infancy. Mr. Crawford, at the time of his marriage, moved with his young wife to a farm south of Oakdale where they lived until the death of Mrs. Crawford, after which he resided in and around Oakdale until 1921 when he made his home with his son, Peter CRAWFORD. HE died suddenly Sunday, December 17, 1939 at his home in Neligh after a weeks illness. He is survived by his daughter Mrs. J. E. MILLER, Huntington, West Virginia; two sons, Peter CRAWFORD of Neligh and David CRAWFORD of Boone, Iowa; two sisters; seven grandchildren the other relatives.
