KATHRYN ANN GLASS

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the St Francis Catholic Church, Neligh, for Kathryn Ann GLASS with the Rev. Charles BRODERSON officiating. Interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Kathryn Ann GLASS, daughter of Verlin I and Mary A GLASS of Lincoln, was born May 3, 1958 at Omaha and died Sunday, October 4, 1964, at a Beatrice Hospital at the age of 6 years, 5 months and one day. She is survived by her parents, two sisters, Patty and Diane, two brothers, Gary and Richard, all at home, maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Paul SONNENFELT of Oakdale and paternal grandfather, Lawrence GLASS.

VERLIN L. GLASS

Services for Verlin L GLASS, 59, Wayne, were conducted Thursday at St Mary’s Catholic Church here. The Rev. Don CLEARY officiated with graveside rites at the Oakdale Cemetery. He died Monday at a Sioux City, Iowa hospital. The son of Lawrence and Hilda (BRUNMEIER) GLASS was born November 21, 1932, at Denver. He died Monday, May 18, 1992 at a Sioux City, Iowa hospital following an illness. He was graduated from Norfolk High School in 1951, entered the Army February 26, 1953 and served in Korea until he was discharged December 30, 1954. He was married to Mary SONNENFELT on June 22, 1956 at St Francis Catholic Church in Clearwater. They resided in Omaha, Grand Island and Lincoln before moving to Wayne in 1965. Mr GLASS had been employed by Coryell Auto, Perry Auto and Logan Valley Implement Co. He was a member of St Mary’s Church, VFW, the Men’s Club and was a Boy Scout leader for a number of years. Survivors include his wife, sons, Gary of Sheldon, Iowa, and Richard of Wayne, daughters, Patricia VANLAWINGHAM of Lincoln and Diane GLASS of Lincoln, five grandchildren, half-brother Don GLASS of Seattle, Washington, and stepmother, Marion GLASS of Bainbridge Island, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
