AURIE MAY HENDERSON

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 21 at the Oakdale Nazarene Church for Miss Aurie May HENDERSON, 75, who died July 19, 1965 at manor Hall at Tilden. The Rev. Harold BROWNING officiated at the service with burial in the Oakdale Cemetery. John NELSON, Fred LINNAUS, Ralph KINNAN, Ralph HUNTER, Earl MCNARE, and Chester OBERSHAW served as pallbearers. Miss HENDERSON was born May 12, 1890 at Albion to Charles and Emily HENDERSON. She served as a telephone operator in Oakdale for 39 years. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs Stella WAGNER of Bloomfield, Mrs Irene WELLS of Omaha and Mrs Joe MCDONALD of California and two brothers, Roy HENDERSON of Palisade, Minnesota and Harvey of Oakdale.

CHARLES EDWIN HENDERSON

Abridged: Charles Edwin HENDERSON was born in Fillmore County, Minnesota, November 7, 1859 and passed away August 5, 1930 at the Lutheran Hospital at Norfolk, Nebraska. He was the sixth of a family of nine children, six boys and three girls. Two brothers survive him. He came to Nebraska and on July 22, 1883 he married Miss Emily HOLCOMB. To this union eight children were born three boys and five girls. Two girls died in infancy. The mother and wife passed away December 9, 1914. Mr HENDERSON was a farmer for nearly 20 years. He is survived by two brothers, Frank of Belmerell, Canada, and John of Albion, two sons, Ray of Venus and Harvey of Oakdale, four daughters, Miss Aurie HENDERSON and Mrs Stella WAGNER of Oakdale, Mrs Irene WELLS of Omaha, Miss Achsa HENDERSON of Sioux City, IA, also five grandchildren. Interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery.

EMILY HENDERSON

Mrs Charles HENDERSON died at her home four miles north of Oakdale, Monday night, December 7, 1914, following an illness of only a few hours. Funeral services were held at the United Brethren Church Wednesday afternoon and interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Mrs HENDERSON’s parents were pioneer settlers of Cedar Township and the deceased spent all her life in this section. She was a sister of the HOLCOMB brothers of Cedar Township. She is survived by her husband, and several children.

HARVEY C. HENDERSON

Services for Harvey C HENDERSON, 78, of Oakdale will be Sunday, October 26 at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church at Oakdale. The Rev. James A. STILLMAN will officiate and burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Marshall-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden and prior to services at the church. He was born February 2, 1897, at Elgin to Mr and Mrs Charles HENDERSON and died Thursday, October 23, 1975 in a Norfolk hospital. He married Sadie ULLARICH, March 16, 1925 and famed most of his life in the Oakdale community. He was a member of the Oakdale Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, four daughters, Mrs Howard (Marian) NIELSEN of Norfolk, Mrs Bill (Majol) CORNETT of Oakdale, Mrs Leon (Sadie) WELLS of Spencer and Mrs Emily DRAGOO of Oakdale, two sons, William of Glendale, Arizona and Clarence of Norfolk, 16 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Mrs Stella WAGNER of Bloomfield and one brother, Ray of Palisades, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by three sisters.
