WILLIAM H HENSHEW

William H. HENSHEW was born in Smith County, Virginia, August 11, 1885 and died at his home near Tilden, Nebr. September 22, 1920, being 62 years, 1 month and 11 days of age. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Fields in the early seventies in Bland County, Virginia. To this union four children were born. Two sons, J. R. and W. R. proceeded their father to that better land. William Henshew moved with his family from Virginia in the eighties and in the fall of 1892 moved to the farm where he resided at the time of his sickness and death, having lived on this place for 28 years. When a young man Mr. Henshew untied with the Methodist Episcopal church. William Henshew since coming to Nebraska has made for himself a host of friends by his honorable. He was stricken one and a half weeks ago with a paralytic stroke and though everything was done for him that could be done by his loved ones and medical aid, yet the voice from on high called him and he answered that call. He leaves to mourn his loss his faithful and loving companion and wife, his son Edgar Henshew , who resides near Tilden, Mrs. Ollie Childs, who also lives near her parents, nine grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mcfarland from Fremont and one brother, James Henshew from Boyd county, Nebr. and Mr. Dave Henshew of Oregon, Mrs. Laura Baker of Arkansas. Brother Henshew will be missed by his friends, and neighbors as well as by his loved ones.
