BERTHA MAGDALENE LARSON HOLM

"Bertha Magdalene Larson was born in Sweden, Oct., 20, 1836, and died at the home of her son, Philip Holm, Saturday, June 2, 1906; aged 71 yrs., 8 mos., and 12 days. She was married to Andrew Holm June 1862, To this union four children were born, three girls and one boy, all of who are living and were in attendance at the funeral services. Mrs. Holm was a member of the Swedish Lutheran church. She has been in America about 25 years, and in this county about twelve years. During the last year her health has been failing and for about two weeks previous to her death she was a great sufferer. Her faith in God was manifest to her children, in fact she told them she knew that God had saved her and she was ready to die and be with Him. The remains were taken from the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. F. Curtis, to the M. E. church at Savage, where the funeral was conducted by Rev. Clifton of Orchard, assisted by Rev. Wood, and the body was deposited in the Savage Cemetery. A large company of friends and relatves were in attendance at the services. The sorrowing children have the sympathy of the entire community."
