HARVEY INGALSBE

Harvey INGALSBE died on Saturday morning, May 9, 1908. He was born June 23, 1841 in Delware County, New York. In 1858 he moved to Iowa. In 1866 he married Miss Jane LONGCAR. Seven children were born to this union, five still living. He was commander of the Kilpatrick Post of the G.A.R. The funeral was officiated by Rev. SHACKLOCK and burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Survivors include: Mrs Priscilla J INGALSBE, Edward L INGALSBE, Peter W INGALSBE, Mrs G. W. MCCOMICK, Hugh L INGALSBE and Mrs B. H. BRAGG.

JANE LONGCOR INGALSBE

Jane LONGCOR was born at Benton, Elkhart County, Indiana, October 30, 1842 and died at the home of her son, P. W. INGALSBE, northeast of Oakdale, Tuesday, August 22, 1922. On March 25, 1866, at Bowman’s Grove, Shelby County, Iowa, the deceased united in marriage to Harvey INGALSBE of Deposit, Delaware County, New York, Rev. E. MARTIN of the Methodist Church officiating. To them were born seven children, six in Iowa and one in Nebraska. The surviving children are: Hugh L INGALSBE, Peter W INGALSBE, Mrs G. W. MCCORMICK, Edward L INGALSBE, Mrs B. H. BRAGG. The deceased and family came to Nebraska in the year 1881, taking a homestead the following year in Elm Township, Antelope County. Here they lived till the death of the husband which occurred May 9, 1908, when the wife moved to Oakdale. For the past four years Mrs INGALSBE had been making her home with her children. During the past nearly two years she had been in very poor health. The deceased was a faithful member of the Methodist Church from her girlhood. Besides her children she is survived by twenty-seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers and one stepsister. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, August 24, at the Methodist Church and interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery.

PETER INGALSBE

Peter INGALSBE, 56, died late last Thursday, May 28, 1931 at his home northwest of Battle Creek. Mr INGALSBE was born, reared and lived a good many years in and around Oakdale. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 31 at Battle Creek with burial in the Oakdale Cemetery.
