Obituary-The Oakdale Sentinel-October 2, 1930

IDA OLIVE TELGREN JACOBSEN

Abridged: Ida Olive TELGREN was born in Wimmerby, Sweden on April 13, 1864 and departed this life September 26, 1930. She came to America in 1886, locating at Odebolt, Iowa. On July 11, 1888 she was married to Charles JACOBSEN, to which union six children were born. Henry of Plainview, Mrs Edith SPRAGUE of Lantry, SD, Seth of Pickrell, Earnest and Esther of Oakdale. A daughter, Ethel, preceded her in death on December 4, 1913. She moved with her family to Nebraska in 1892, locating on a farm south of Oakdale. They moved to town in 1922. She is survived by her husband, three sons, two daughters, eleven grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She also leaves to mourn her, two sisters, Mrs Carl DAHL of Sweden and Mrs Nils NILSON of Oakdale and one brother, Gus TELGREN of Oakdale and other relatives. Funeral services were held in the Oakdale United Brethren Church and burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery.
