Obituary-The Oakdale Sentinel-August 3, 1906

ANNA LITKE LIERMAN

Abridged: Anna LITKE was born on the high seas, May 4, 1857 and landed at Ontario, Canada with her parents, Frederick and Dorothy LITKE, settling near Exeter, Canada. At 11 years of age she came with her family, then numbering six, to West Point, Nebraska. Here she met and married August LIERMAN. They came to Antelope County. At the age of 12 she converted to the Evangelical Church. She died on Friday, July 27, 1906. She was the mother of six children, William, George, August and Laura LIERMAN, Mrs Frank NESBIT of Oakdale and Mrs John LIERMAN of West Point. She is survived by her husband, two brothers, Charles LITKE of Omaha and August L of Madison. Interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery.

AUGUST F LIERMAN

Abridged: August LIERMAN passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs Frank NESBIT, November 15, 1911. August LIERMAN was born at Ragen Valda, Germany, November 26, 1847 and came to America in 1856 to Dodge County, Wisconsin. In 1864 the family came to West Point, Nebraska. He was married to Anna LITKE in 1872 when they moved to Antelope County. To this union were born six children; Mrs John LIERMAN, Mrs Frank NESBIT, Laura, William, George and August LIERMAN. Three brothers survive, William and Henry of Amelia, Nebraska and Frank L of Beemer. Rev. KELLEY of Tilden conducted the services at the Methodist Church and interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery.

Bennie LIERMAN

Bennie LIERMAN, 14, son of Mr and Mrs George LIERMAN of Norfolk, died at a Norfolk Hospital Saturday, April 19, 1936, following an operation for an ear infection. He is survived by his parents, one sister, Ione, and a baby brother, Garold. Funeral services were held in Norfolk Tuesday afternoon, April 21 and burial was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. The LIERMAN family moved to Norfolk from Oakdale three years ago.
