DONALD K. MARSH

Donald K. MARSH, 50, of Hastings died Thursday, July 17, 1986 at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings. Memorial services were held at the Butler-Voland Funeral Chapel in Hastings Sunday evening. Furneral services were at the Oakdale Methodist Church Monday with Dr. W. T. ISRAEL offficiating. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. MARSH was born July 31, 1935, in Antelope County. He graduated from Oakdale High School in 1953 and lived in the Neligh area until 1965 when he moved to Hastings. He married Harriet WILKINSON November 14, 1954, in Oakdale. He was an assistant dispatcher for Farmland Industries for 16 years and a member of First United Methodist Church of Hastings. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Jill of Hastings; three sons, Greg of Pauline, Scott of Hastings and Jeff of Mesa, Arizona; three sisters, Mrs Sam (Jean) EVANS of Ames,; Mrs Gene (Alice) YELKEN of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Mrs Larry (Janet) BARTEE of Tilden; four brothers, Warren of Anaheim, California; Eldon of Brunswick; Melvin and Allan of Neligh; and three grandsons.

MURAT C MARSH

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, August 10, at the United Methodist Church in Tilden for Murat C MARSH, 83, of Tilden. The Rev. Stan LARUE officiated with burial in the Oakdale Cemetery. MARSH, the son of George and Alice CRAWFORD MARSH, was born at Plainview on August 1, 1900. He died Sunday, August 7, 1983 at Heritage Village of Tilden. He was married to Zella SMITH and they farmed in Antelope County until retiring in 1965 and moved to Oakdale. Mrs MARSH died in January of 1979. MARSH was married to Esther BARNES of Fort Worth, Texas in October 1979. They lived in Tilden until moving to Creighton. After her death in January 1981, he returned to Tilden. Survivors include five sons, Warren of Anaheim, California, Melvin and Allan of Neligh, Eldon of Brunswick, and Don of Hastings, three daughters, Mrs Sam (Jean) EVANS of Ames, Mrs Gene (Alice) YELKEN of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mrs Larry (Jan) BARTEE of Tilden; 24 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren, one sister, Etta Mae HULL of Hastings, step-children, Melvin ACKLIE of Wausa, Mrs Ed (Marjorie) ZOBEL of Creighton, Don ACKLIE of Rome, Texas, Mrs Gary (Luella) BRINDLY of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mrs Jim (Alice) COOPER of Foster. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, two sisters, one brother, one great grandson and one stepson.

ZELLA MAE SMITH MARSH

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 2 at the Oakdale Methodist Church for Mrs Murat MARSH of Oakdale who died Friday, January 30, 1970 at Antelope Memorial Hospital at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 11 days. The Rev. Connie J BUEHLER of Elgin officiated at the service and burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Gwen WINGATE, Roy JONES, Bob AUGHE, Roy MUSSER, Orville SHERMAN and Merle BRINK. Serving active pallbearers were Irvin WAGNER, Ralph KINNAN, Charles RAYMOND, Louis KINNAN, Raymond CROSIER, and Gordon HUGHES. Zella Mae SMITH MARSH was born on a farm at Plainview on October 19, 1900, the daughter of Dean B and Clara SHEETS SMITH. On February 15, 1923 she was married to Murat C MARSH and to this union eight children were born. Except for a few years, her entire life was spent in Antelope County and in 1965 she and her husband retired from farming and moved to their home in Oakdale where they have since resided. Survivors include five sons, Warren of Lynwood, California, Melvin and Allan of Neligh, Eldon of Brunswick, and Don of Hastings, three daughters, Mrs Dean (Jean) MILLER of Omaha, Mrs Gene (Alice) YELKEN of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mrs Larry (Janet) BARTEE of Norfolk, her husband, three brothers, Walt SMITH of Brush, Colorado, and Floyd and Orie SMITH of Plainview and two sisters, Mrs Almeda MILLER of Portland and Mrs Floyd SEABERY of Plainview.
