HARVEY MOCK

Funeral services for Harvey MOCK of Oakdale were held Thursday, April 24 at the Marshall-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden. Alvin SCHWARTING of Oakdale officiated at the services with burial in the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ike KINNAN, Dick KINNAN, Ralph KINNAN, Munsey WINGATE, Vern CLAUSEN and Charles HULSMAN. Harvey MOCK, son of George MOCK and Gesine BEHRENS MOCK, was born August 15, 1899 southwest of Tilden and died April 22, 1980 at the age of 80 years. He was educated in Antelope County and was married to Lenora BEESON on September 1, 1925 at Sioux City, Iowa. They had celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 1975. The couple had farmed in the Tilden and Petersburg area until retiring and moving into Oakdale in 1962. Survivors include his wife, Lenora; three sons, LeRoy of Tilden, Clinton of Albion and Harold of Omaha; one daughter, Mrs Carl (Leona) BROZEK of Omaha; 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; three brother, George of Neligh, Elmer of Tilden and Emil of Phoenix, Arizona, and one sister, Mrs Eva REGAN of Casper, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, one great grandchild; two brothers, Henry and Dan; and two sister, Sophia and Ella.

HULDA C BERGENSTROLL MOCK

Abridged: Mrs Hulda C BERGENSTROLL MOCK was born in Carlsberg, Sweden on June 4, 1846. When a small child her father died and she made her home with an uncle and aunt. As a young woman she spent several years in Stockholm and other cities before coming to America. She landed in New York of September 22, 1872. On September 2, 1875 she was married to Nils Frederick ROSSBERG at Philadelphia, living there, in Odessa, and Wilmington, Delaware until March 1876 when Mr and Mrs ROSSBERG moved to Nebraska. In the spring of 1880 they moved to Oakdale coming to a little home northeast of town. Mr ROSSBERG died on August 20, 1903. On July 21, 1904 she married Daniel MOCK of Tilden. He died on August 18, 1919. On the evening of December 26, 1927 she passed away. No record of a service. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery.
