Millie NOLZE

Funeral services for Millie S. Nolze, 81, of Newport, were held Wednesday, Nov. 15, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Neligh. The Rev. George Tarsis officiated. Burial was at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh with arrangements by the Hoepfinger-Beyer Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Rex Keetle, John D. Thompson, Allan Rittscher, John White, Everett Stewart and Louie Behnk. Millie S. Avery, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jess J. Avery, was born August 18, 1914, at Elgin. She graduated from Clearwater High School and, on July 8, 1934, married Clarence Nolze in Antelope County. For many years, Mrs. Nolze taught in rural schools near Page, Ewing and Newport. She had resided at Newport for 20 years. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Nolze died Monday, Nov. 13, at a Norfolk nursing home. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister. Survivors include sons, Avery Nolze of San Antonio, Texas, and Douglas Nolze and wife, Carolyn, of Stanton; and three grandchildren.
