IVA P SALA

Funeral services for Iva P SALA, 94, of Tilden, were held at 10:30 am Wednesday, February 19, at the Oakdale United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard ODGERS officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Keith COOPER, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Raymond CROSIER, organist. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ivan KINNAN, Ralph KINNAN, Gene KINNAN, Louis KINNAN, Vern CLAUSEN and Raymond CROSIER. Iva P SALA, daughter of Edmund and Affa RICHMOND SALA, was born June 25, 1891, at West Point, Iowa and died February 15, 1986 at Heritage Village of Tilden. From Iowa, Miss SALA and her family moved to Wayne in 1898 where she attended a public school and also Wayne State College. In the 1920’s, the family moved to Oakdale. Miss SALA taught school for many years in the Northeast Nebraska area, including the communities of Battle Creek, Ewing, Wisner, Meadow Grove, Neligh and Scottsbluff. She was a member of the Oakdale Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters and four brothers. Survivors include a sister-in-law and 14 nieces and nephews.
