EVERETT TYLER SCRIVENS

Everett Tyler SCRIVENS, son of Roland and Lydia SCRIVENS, was born at Newera, PA, January 1863 and departed this life at his home east of Neligh, Nebraska, February 16, 1993. He grew to manhood in his native State. When he was twenty-one years of age he came to Nebraska, settling in southern Holt County were he lived until thirteen years ago when he moved to Antelope County. He became a member of the Seventh Day Advent Church and remained a faithful member until his death. On December 24, 1885 he was married to Miss Mary COX and to this union five children were born, two daughters and three sons. He leaves mourn his departure, his wife, his five children, Nettie CANFIELD, Ethel KIFER and James SCRIVENS, all of Ewing, Nebraska and Frank SCRIVENS of LeMars, Iowa, Lee SCRIVENS resides at home. Mr SCRIVENS was an honest man whose word wax said to be as good as his bond. A considerate father and husband, and an accommodating neighbor and friend. He will be missed in the community where he has made his home these thirteen years. Funeral services were conducted by G. B. DUNNING from the home Saturday afternoon. Interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery.

MARY COX SCRIVENS

Mrs Everett SCRIVENS, 63, passed away at her farm home northeast of Oakdale, March 7, 1933 as the result of heart trouble. She was married December 24, 1885 to Everett Tyler SCRIVENS who preceded her in death on February 16 this year. She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Lee at home, Frank of LeMars, IA, James, Nettie CANFIELD and Ethel KIFER, all of Ewing. Services were held from the home Friday afternoon with burial in the Oakdale Cemetery, G. B. Dunning officiating.
