CLARENCE GERHARDT STRAHM

Funeral services for Clarence STRAHM of Oakdale were held Saturday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Marshall-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden. Alvin SCHWARTING of Oakdale officiated at the services. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lloyd REYNOLDS, Mark SEHI, Mervin MURRAY, Joe GROSSERODE, Raymond Thomas and Vince RUTERBORIES. Clarence Gerhardt STRAHM, son of Gottfried STRAHM and Lena KUNZ STRAHM, was born December 19, 1923 at Tilden and died Tuesday, June 19, 1979. He grew to manhood and was educated in Antelope County. He worked for nine years with the Burlington Railroad out of Omaha and farmed in Antelope County until his accidental death. He was married to Candy HARDISON on November 12, 1965 at Garnett, Kansas. He was a past member of the Oakdale Township Board. Survivors include his wife Candy, three step children, Mrs NORMAN (Connie) WELSH of Peoria, Illinois, Larry SHAMBLEN of Des Moines, Iowa and Carrol SHAMBLEN of Omaha, six grandchildren, one brother, Otto STRAHM of Chapman, four sisters, Miss Anna STRAHM of Neligh, Mrs William (Helen) WHOLFEIL of Norfolk, Mrs Margaret DRAKE of Omaha and Mrs Lloyd (Mary Ann) LILLY of Mesa, Arizona. He was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Mrs Gary (Joella) NIELSEN, two grandchildren, one brother in infancy, and two sisters, Mrs Charles (Hattie) HALSEY and one in infancy.

ESTHER MALINDA OFE STRAHM

Funeral services for Esther STRAHM were held Friday, June 29 at the Marshall-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden. Alvin SCHWARTING officiated at the services. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bruce OFE, Allen OFE, CRAIG MAHANNAH, Jerry VAN HOUTEN, Donald OBERMIRE and Joseph OBERMIRE. Esther Malinda STRAHM, daughter of Roy OFE and Mary Elizabeth KELLEY OFE, was born June 11, 1913 at Oakdale and died Tuesday, June 26, 1979 at Chapman. She grew to womanhood and was educated in Oakdale. On June 8, 1955 in Holt County she was united in marriage to Otto STRAHM. The couple lived in Omaha until 1969 and from there moved to Chapman. Survivors include her husband, Otto, one daughter, Mrs Kevin (Lina) BECK of Madison, three sons, Orville THOMPSON of Omaha, Manuel THOMPSON of Tilden, and Larry THOMPSON of Tilden, nine grandchildren, one brother, Donald (Bud) OFE of Oakdale, four sisters, Mrs Viola WILLIAMS of Omaha, Mrs Hazel OBERMIRE of Butte, Mrs Alfred (Erma) SUHR of Elgin and Mrs Don (Betty) MAHANNAH of Chamberlain, South Dakota, and her step mother, Mrs Ella OFE of Oakdale. She was preceded in death by her parents.

OTTO F STRAHM

Services for Otto F STRAHM 70 Rembrandt, Iowa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Marshall-Harlan funeral home. the Rev. Stan LARUE will officiated with burial in the Oakdale Cemetery and military graveside rites by Edwin Henninger American Legion Post 170. born August 27, 1914, at Tilden, the son of Gottfried and Lena (KUNZ) STRAHM, he died Friday May 10, 1985, at Rembrandt. He attended school near Oakdale and served in the Army during World War II. He and Esther OFE were married June 8, 1955 in Holt County. Mr STRAHM farmed near Oakdale until moving to Omaha where he was employed by Swift and Company. They lived in Omaha until moving to Chapman in 1969. Mrs STRAHM died in 1979. He then resided with his daughter at Madison until moving to Rembrandt in 1984. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs Kevin (Lina) BECK of Rembrandt; three sister, Mrs William (Helen) WOHFEIL of Norfolk, Margaret DRAKE of Omaha and Mrs Lloyd (Mary Ann) LIFFY of Mesa, Arizona, three step-sons, Orville THOMPSON of Omaha, Manuel THOMPSON of Madison and Larry THOMPSON of Tilden, and 10 grandchildren. he was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three sisters and one brother.
