ALVERA A TIMM

Funeral services for Alvera A. TIMM, 82, of Norfolk, formerly of Oakdale, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 13 at Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh with Rev. Glenn SCHULTZ officiating. Mrs Eldean REINKE was organist, accompanying Jennell SUHR, vocalist. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bryon TIMM, Aaron TIMM, Jeff TIMM, Bill TIMM, Jody TIMM, Craig GENTZLER, Tim GENTZLER, Rollie GENTZLER, Greg EYMANN, Kirk EYMANN, Mike LEFFERS, Brad LEFFERS, Jason TIMM and Scott WILL. Alvera A. TIMM, daughter of Theodore and Amanda CARLSON ADAMSON, was born April 7, 1906, at Newman Grove, and died June 9, 1988, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Norfolk. Mrs TIMM attended rural school and was employed in area hospital housekeeping and laundry departments. On October 27, 1927, she married William TIMM. They lived on a farm north of Oakdale. Mrs TIMM moved to Norfolk in 196. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh and of the Oakdale Country Club. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister, one daughter and three grandchildren. Survivors include four sons, William J. of Ogallala, Joe of Valley, Arden D. of Norfolk and Milan E. of Santa Barbara, California; three daughters, Mrs George (Bonnie) EYMANN of Papillion, Mrs Roger (Alice) GENTZLER of Norfolk and Mrs Dennis (Deanna) LEFFERS of Norfolk; one brother Harold ADAMSON of Moline, Illinois; 26 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Carl Claude TIMM

Funeral services for Carl C. Timm, 49, who died at a Norfolk hospital Friday after a long illness, were held at Neligh Sunday. Carl Claude Timm, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Timm, was born May 24, 1898, at Oakdale. He attended school at Oakdale and on February 20, 1918 was united in marriage to Miss Marie Fallesen of Neligh. He was baptized and confirmed in Grace Evangelical Lutheran church at Neligh. He is survived by his wife; one daughter Mrs. Lucille Wilson; his mother Mrs. Carrie Timm of Neligh; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Fredinburg of Neligh, Mrs. Gladys Braasch, Atkinson; brothers Lee Timm, John Timm and William Timm, all of Oakdale.

CARRIE EISSLER TIMM

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church for Mrs Carrie TIMM with the Rev. Carl PULLMANN officiating. Interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery with Carl LORENSEN, Thomas R EVANS, Wendell WARNER, Lester GRATOPP, Bennie BRANDT, Grover HALSEY and William Own EVANS serving as honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers were Mylan TASSEMEYER, Richard BRION, JAMES OETTER, William GLAMPE, Dale NUTTLEMANN and Reuben MEYER. Mrs Carrie EISSLER TIMM, daughter of John and Dorothea EISSLER, was born February 13, 1876 at Long Grove, Illinois and died Wednesday morning, November 18, 1964, at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 5 days at the home of her daughter, Mrs Guy FREDINBURG. When she was eight years old the family moved to Nebraska and settled on a farm one and a half miles east of Oakdale. Mrs TIMM attended Oakdale School. On September 4, 1895 she was married to John TIMM and to this union six children were born, four sons and two daughters. The couple spent their entire married life around Oakdale and after Mr TIMM’S death, Mrs TIMM moved to Neligh where she had resided the last 20 years. Mrs TIMM was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, at the age of 12 years, at Tilden. She was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh. She was also a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and taught Sunday school and Bible class for a number of years. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs Guy FREDINBURG of Neligh and Mrs Kenneth BRAASCH of Redondo Beach, California, three sons, Lee and William of Oakdale and John of Canoga Park, California, 21 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Carl.

JOHN CARL TIMM

Abridged: John Carl TIMM was born April 2, 1868 at Sanitz, Germany. In the fall of 1884 he with his parents moved to America, settling in Omaha. In the spring of 1894 he came to Antelope County, locating on a farm north of Oakdale. On September 4, 1895 he married Miss Carrie EISSLER of Oakdale. This union was blessed with six children, Bertha, Carl, Lee, John, William and Gladys. He began ailing this spring and he passed away Monday evening, September 2, 1929. He leaves to mourn him his wife, six children, one brother, Joe TIMM of Norfolk, one sister, Mrs Sophie HENKE of Omaha, and a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Following a short service, burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery.

JOHN E. TIMM JR.

A Christian wake service for John TIMM, JR, 53, of Mission Hills, California, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 25, at the utter McKinley Mission Hills Chapel. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 29, at St Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin with Rev. Kenneth POTTS officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery with Al CHAVET, George EYMANN, Bill TIMM, Rod SCHINDLER, Bob BRACHIE and Clayton DOZLER serving as pallbearers. John E. (Bank) TIMM, JR, son of John E. and Gladys MARTINDALE TIMM, was born November 24, 1930, at Oakdale, and died February 23, 1984, at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, California. TIMM attended schools in Oakdale and graduated from Oakdale High School in 1948. After graduation he worked for several years at the Elgin Lumber Company and the Elgin Mills. On November 7, 1951, he was united in marriage with Lee Ann ANDERSON of Elgin at St Boniface Catholic Church. This couple lived all of their married life in southern California where TIMM worked many years in the aerospace program. Most recently, he was a wage administrator at Lockheed Aircraft. He was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church at San Fernando. TIMM was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his wife, Lee Ann of Mission Hills, California, two sons, John with the U. S. Army in Germany and Jerry of Virginia Beach, Virginia, one daughter, Mrs Don (Ann) CARTER of Huntington Beach, California, four grandchildren, his father, John E. TIMM, Sr of Lancaster, California, and three brothers, Harlan of Detroit, Michigan, Steve of Lake Isabelle, California, and Richard of Lancaster, California.

JOHN E. TIMM

Funeral services for John E. Timm, 82 of Lancaster, California, formerly of Oakdale, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 14 at Hoepfinger-Beyer Funeral Home in Neligh with Alvin SCHWARTING officiating. Music was provided by Mrs Alvin SCHWARTING, vocalist, accompanied by Mrs Glen KALVELAGE, pianist. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rex CHAVET, Stanley TIMM, George EYMANN, Joe TIMM, Albert CHAVET, and Dean BROWN. John E. TIMM, son of John and Carrie EISSLER TIMM, was born November 22, 1903, in Oakdale and died December 9, 1985 in Lancaster, California. On October 9, 1929, he married Gladys MARTINDALE. This couple lived in the Oakdale community until moving to California about 30 years ago. Before retirement, TIMM worked as a sheet metal worker in an aircraft factory. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife in 1982; one son, John in 1983; three brothers; and one sister. Survivors include three sons, Harlan of Livonia, Michigan, Steve of Lake Isabella, California, and Richard of Lancaster, California; one sister, Mrs Gladys BRAASCH of Torrence, California; and 10 grandchildren.

LEE ARNOLD TIMM

Funeral services for Lee A TIMM of Oakdale were held Saturday, July 17 at 2 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church at Neligh with Pastor D L BRAUNERSREUTHER of Clearwater officiating. Mrs Mylan TASSEMEYER was organist for the Church choir who sang. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery with Grover HALSEY, Bennie BRANDT, Owen EVANS, Rodney EVANS, Ervin WAGNER, and Mylan TASSEMEYER serving as pallbearers. Lee Arnold TIMM was born June 7, 1900 on a farm four miles north of Oakdale to John and Carrie EISSLER TIMM and died July 15, 1965, at Antelope Memorial Hospital at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 8 days. Mr TIMM was baptized infancy at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden and spent his boyhood and youth on the farm on which he was born. On April 13, 1946 he was united in marriage to Pauline Marie HELFRICH at Albion. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother CARL. Survivors include his widow, Pauline, one daughter, Mrs Jeanette KISSACK of Redondo Beach, California, two sons, Robert of Redondo Beach, California and Stanley of Oakdale, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs Bertha FREDINBURG of Neligh and Mrs Gladys BRAASCH of Redondo Beach, California, two brothers, John of Canoga Park, California, and William of Oakdale, and numerous nephews and nieces. Out of town relatives attending the service were from Papillion, Pierce, Norfolk, Canoga Park, California, Oakdale, Tilden, Sidney, Fort Morgan, Colorado and Madison.

Services for William E TIMM, 69, 406 Hastings Ave. Norfolk, formerly of Oakdale, will be Sunday, 2 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh. Pastor Marion VON RENTZELL will officiate and burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery. The body will lie in state Saturday, 4-9 p.m. at Hoepfinger-Beyer Funeral Home in Neligh. Born to Mr and Mrs John TIMM June 17, 1906, at Oakdale, he died Friday in an Omaha hospital. Reared in the Oakdale area, he married Alvera Adamson, October 27, 1927, at Albion. They farmed near Oakdale until 10 years ago when they moved to Norfolk. He belonged to the Grace Lutheran Church. Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Mrs George (Bonnie) EYMANN of Papillion, Mrs Roger (Alice) GENTZLER of Norfolk, Mrs Dennis (Deanna) LEFFERS of Norfolk; four sons, William of Loup City, Joe of Valley, Arden of Paso Robles, California, Milan of Santa Barbara, Claifornia; two sisters, Mrs Guy (Bertha) FREDDINBURG of Plainview, and Mrs Kenneth (Gladys) BRAASCH of Torrence, California; one brother, John of Lancaster, California; 26 grandchildren, two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, two grandsons and two brothers.
