Annie Laura (PETTIE) TUTTLE

Mrs Silas Tuttle, mother of Mrs Frank Olds of this city, died last Sunday, January 14, 1917, at the hospital in Norfolk. The remains were brought to Oakdale and funeral services were held Monday from the home of A. J. Blesh. Rev. J. P. Blakely conducted the sermon. Burial was made in the Oakdale Cemetery beside the remains of her husband. Annie Pettie was born in Ohio in 1840 and at the age of 20 years was married to Silas Tuttle. To them were born eleven children, seven of whom are living, three sons and four daughters. Mr Tuttle died August 13, 1914.

SILAS TUTTLE

Following several weeks of illness, Silas TUTTLE, father of Mrs Frank OLDS, died at his home in Oakdale on Wednesday, August 12, 1914, aged 75. The deceased was born in Oldtown, Maine in 1839 and his home was at that place until he reached young manhood. Removing to Grant County, WI, he met and married Miss Laura PETTIE. To this union were born eleven children, six boys and five girls, 10 of whom survive with their mother. From Wisconsin, Mr TUTTLE removed to Iowa and thence to Nebraska, coming to Oakdale about a year ago. Funeral services were held at the home this afternoon and interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery.
