Ezra Pev WARD

E. P. Ward, 67, was found dead Saturday morning about three miles west of Oakdale. He had left his car after it had become stalled Friday night during the snowstorm and had started to a farmhouse. According to the coroner’s report, death was due to exposure. Rev. H. G. Langley conducted funeral services at the home Tuesday afternoon. Burial was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. Ezra P. Ward was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 3, 1880, and passed from this life November 15, 1947, at the age of sixty-seven years, seven months and twelve days. On July 19, 1911, he was united in marriage to Cora Snyder at Mullen, Nebraska. They moved to Willow Springs, Missouri, in 1921. After living there ten years they moved to Oakdale, Nebraska, which has since been their home.

He leaves to mourn his passing his faithful companion, Cora, one niece and two nephews of Willow Springs, Mo., and another niece in Oregon. He appreciated friendliness shown him and will be greatly missed by those who really knew him and loved him.
