Promoted to Sergeant for bravery in action October 30, 1918.

Army Medical School, training in Bacteriology. Sent to Yale U. Laboratory. Overseas October, 1918, as Water Inspector. Transferred to Army of Occupation as Division Water Inspector of 5th Div. Promoted 1st Lieut. May 1919. Discharged August 15, 1919 at Presidio, San Francisco, Calif.

Y. then to 71st Aero Squadron, St. Paul, Minn., and to 123rd Aero Squadron, Little Rock, Ark. Discharged at Little Rock, March 24, 1919.

Was in defence (sic) at Albert, Amiens, Somme, Verdun, Meuse, Meuse-Argonne, Troyan Sur Meuse sector. Afterward put in charge of Dental Surgery of 33rd Div. Mustered out June, 1919.

Was chief signalling officer of 3rd Army Corps. Keepinp up wire communications all through the drive. Sent to Berlin, Germany in March, 1919 as special messenger to the American Commission.
