W.A Harding, republican nominee for county superintendent.

Hardings is still headquarters for stationery and all school supplies.

Misses Alice Johnson and Sundburg of Omaha, were guests of T. Planck's family over Sunday.

Victor Johnson and bride, who was Miss Emma Henry, came down from Wakefield and spent a few days with T. Planck and family, who were on their way to Omaha.

L.E. Wallerstedt's grocery store is now comfortably located in its new quarters next to Nelson's drug store.

J.P. Anderson and W.A . Harding of Oakland, were in Lyons Friday fixing up political fences

Rev. J. H. Johnson will preach at Beemer the coming year.

Johnny Johnson and family spent Sunday with friends at Bancroft.

WA Harding and EE Shackleford were Decatur visitors yesterday.

Anderson, John, returned from Minnesota where he's been living for 6 months.

A.G. Johnson sent a fine car of top hogs to Omaha Sunday night.

Mrs. HA Harding left for Wisconsin, Wed morning after a pleasant visit here, where she goes to visit relatives for some time before returning to her home in the east.

C.G. Anderson, south of the creamery trying to sell his home, but will rent.

Miss Alma Samuelson of Craig, spent Thanksgiving with Oakland friends.

Oliver Erickson, a brother-in-law of Charley Anderson, returned to Omaha Tuesday morning. He had been working here the past season.

Andrew Anderson calling for debts to him to be collected, but will trade brick for wood.

CJ Wallerstedt is supervisor of 6th district which covers the tier of sections taken from the south of Everett and all of the present Oakland precinct lying north of the township line between townships 21 and 22, being the township line which lies south of the village of Oakland.

Craig Item: Miss Hulda Samuelson, of Oakland, visited her sister Miss Alma Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. FA Wallerstedt came up from Tekamah and visited relatives returning in the evening. Says it's not his intention to remain another year in the county treasurers office.

Rev Swanson of Wakefield & Rev. Charles Youngberg of Fremont, IA attended mission conference.

Miss Alma Anderson has old mail in Post Office.

Lots of prominent Swedish people left Oakland Saturday for a trip to their mother country to visit the scenes of their boyhood days for a few months. Party includes: O.K. Johnson, Chas. Johnson and SA Blooth (sp?) of Wayne country, who go to Wermland (aud?); Frank A. Lind, a relative of Peter J (or I?) Smith who goes to Uddervalla and Oscar Bergquist, a brother-in-law of Chas Danielson, who will visit Smaland.

N. Krogh and Mr. Oscar Samuelson drove down from Oakland.

Ed. Wallerstedt pleaded business and took the train for Omaha.

PJ Johnson settled with insurance company for $2050 and the unconsumed goods.

Gus Johnson, the Omaha restaurant man, was in Oakland, Tue. He has been at Victor, Colo. recently, where he will put in a restaurant soon.

Charity concert for Johannah Lodge. UOTS. J. Albert Wallerstaed, a young baritone who made his first public appearance. He proved himself possessed of a voice, which with proper cultivation should bring him to a position of eminence on the operatic stage. His stage presence is excellent and in delivery he evidenced genuine dramatic instinct.

Frank Johns, who moved to the Indian reservation about 3 years ago, who suffered a fired two years ago. His house was again consumed by fire last Saturday. No insurance.

The 13 month old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Ed. Wallerstedt has been very much indisposed of late suffering particularly from cutting teeth. Recently, Dr. Jayne found it necessary to extract one of them because of some defect and he stated that he had not before pulled a tooth from so young a mouth.

Andrew Johnson went to Omaha with Mrs. Fred Uehling, Mr. and Mrs. AE Wells, Mrs. R. Smith, S.M. Peterson and her daughter C.E. Ohlson.

Mr. and Mrs. P. Anderson, living south of town, delivered a daughter on Dec. 17.

Miss Mollie Johnson of Craig visited friends in the city this week.

Mrs. C. J. Swanson took Saturday's train for Missouri Valley, Iowa to visit her parents to contemplate a visit to California in the near future. J.E. Blenkiron, her brother was a passenger as well. They are attending a family reunion, before the parents spend the winter in CA.

FA Wallerstedt came up Monday night and stayed until the next night to sort of accustom himself to life after so long lying dormant in Tekamah.

B Grade: Jennie Johnson, Martin Johnson, Herbert Johnson. 1st Intermediate Dept. Oscar Swanson, Esther Johnson (sic).. 2nd Primary Dept. Anthon Johnson, Lorrie Samuelson.

Craig Items: Gus Swanson was in Oakland. Miss Alma Samuelson spent Christmas in Oakland. J.P. Johnson, and ex-Craigite, was with friends Sunday.

JA Swanson removed his saloon into the Stauffer building, south of the hotel.

WF Brewster and B.C. Hardin went to Lyons Christmas night, suspected of attending a dance.

E.J. Johnson and wife up from Omaha, to be with relatives and friends in Oakland.

Miss Alma Samuelson, employed in Mrs. AD Card's millinery store in Craig, was up visiting her sister.

Mr./Mrs. A.J. Colson of Omaha arrived and spent Christmas with Mrs. C's mother. Mrs. OK Johnson.

Swan A Johnson, bachelor, wants to sell his property at auction at the Smith far south of Craig on 7th of Jan. Wants to have a good time while he is alive. His property listed elsewhere.

Rev. Johnson drove over from Beemer.

Mrs. & Mrs. Emanuel Johnson came up from Omaha. First visit home since their marriage.

John Anderson's hired man and his two daughters, residing 8 miles south of the city. Horses spooked, on way to Christmas exercises at Swedish Lutheran church. All were thrown, one of the daughters with a left broken arm, the other unconscious.
