Forslund Died Following Fall
Emil L. Forslund, 56, died Saturday night of injuries received in a fall from a ladder while doing carpenter work on a garage at the Thomas M. Thompson place in Minden Thursday morning.

Mr. Forslund, who was rushed to Seeley hospital immediately following the accident, reportedly suffered a fractured neck.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the United Presbyterian Church.  Rev. Paul Sutton, pastor of the church, officiated.
Interment was in Minden cemetery.

Emil Linus Forslund was born in Varmland, Sweden on November 19, 1896.  He was brought up in the Lutheran faith.  At the age of 17, he came to this country and settled at Keene.

In 1928 he married Pearl Webster of Minden and moved to Minden.  To this union, three children were born, one and two daughters.

Mr. Forslund was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Christina.

Surviving are his wife and the children:  Linus F. Forslund now of LeMars, Ia.; Mrs. Shirley Mae Olson of Funk, and Mrs. Darlene Christina Deneke of Beloit, Kans.; his father Johann Forslund, brothers Gunner and Herbert and sister, Anna Forslund of Varmland, Sweden and brothers, Oscar, David and Joel and sister, Mrs. Hilma Fors, of Chicago.

Lee Forslund’s Father Dies in Minden, Nebr.
Seney, Iowa: Lee Forslund, of Seney, was notified Thursday that his father, Lee Forslund, Sr. of Minden, Neb. was injured in an accident that day. The elder Mr. Forslund fell from the roof of a barn and broke his neck. Mr. and Mrs. Forslund Jr. left that afternoon for Minden.
Mrs. Charles Ewin of Seney received word that Lee Forslund Jr’s father died at a local hospital Saturday night, Dec. 13 from injuries received in the fall. Funeral services were held Tuesday, in Minden.
