The Ohio Historical Society does not have any Brown County birth records.

The Ohio Department of Health has birth records from 20 Dec 1908-present. The record is certified and the fee is $16.50.

The Brown County Probate and Juvenile Court has birth records from 1867-19 Dec 1908.

The Brown County Board of Health has birth records from 20 Dec 1908-present. Hours are 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Copies are $16.50/certificate. You are allowed to handcopy the information with a pencil.

Deaths

The Ohio Historical Society has death records from 20 Dec 1908-31 Dec 1953. The fee for the certificate is $6.00 and the request must include the full name, exact year of death, and one of the following: the month and day of death, county or city of death, or death certificate number. If you do not have enough information to request a certificate, you may send a research request. The fee for this request is $20 and two indexes will be searched for one name.

The Ohio Department of Health has death records from 1954-present. The record is certified and the fee is $16.50.

The Brown County Probate and Juvenile Court has death records from 1867-19 Dec 1908.

The Ohio Department of Health has divorce abstracts from 1 Jan 1954-present. A request for a 10-year search period is $3.00.

Estate records from 1818-present are held in the Brown County Probate and Juvenile Court.
