Miss Hilda McCarren died at her home near Chasetown Thursday. She was a girl of noble character. During her mother's last illness she tenderly nursed her, and when she was laid away took charge of the home, looked after the comfort of father and brothers, and by her cheerful disposition added much to their happiness. The funeral was held Saturday morning at St. Patrick's church, and the large crowd that attended gave evidence of the esteem in which she was held. Her remains were laid to rest beside her mother in St. Patrick's cemetery.
