PARIS PUBLIC LIBRARY, East Main Street, St Paris OH, 4307.  (937) 663-4349.  The St Paris Public Library houses Champaign County OGS Chapter's holdings, including index card system of surnames & researchers, U.S. Census records and newspapers for Champaign County.   Research hours are: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Monday thru Thursday,  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and  Saturday.  With expanded room, CCGS is adding new books almost daily, including Revolutionary War Pension Records, census microfilm from surrounding counties, and numerous publications.  CHECK IT OUT!

MECHANCISBURG PUBLIC LIBRARY, 60 South Main St., Mechanicsburg, OH 43044. (937) 834-2004. County histories and Mechanicsburg area information.  Research hours are: 12 noon 8 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 200 North Main Street, Urbana, OH 43078.
Probate Court (3rd Floor [937] 652-2108) has early birth, marriages, and probate records
Clerk of Courts (2nd Floor [937] 652-2746) has Civil Court Records.   Due to a courthouse fire in 1948, some probate records were destroyed, but other records are often available to use as substitutes.
Staff is very helpful, cooperative, and willing to pull files from basement storage.
Research hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
