Robert Baker Sr. Robert E. Baker Sr., 49, Lancaster, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, as a result of an auto accident. His associations include Mid-West Quarter Century Club, Mid-West Seniority Club and Eagles Lodge No. 2120. He enjoyed restoring his pride and joy -- a "72" Challenger -- and attending the Mopar Drag Racing Nationals with his brother-in-law, Ron ... The Hustling Farmer. He was a tool and die set-up man at Mid West Fabricating Company for 29 years. A loving and caring husband, father and devoted grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Gina; son, Robert E. Baker Jr.; grandsons, Robert L. and Kaleb L.; three brothers, Ted Baker of Louisiana, Bud (Marty) Baker of Lancaster and Larry (Linda) Baker of Lancaster; six sisters, Betty (Duke) Leach of Junction City, Jean (Carl) Hawks of Circleville, Pat Baker Humes of Westerville, Thelma Williams of Lancaster, Wanda Baker Humes of Lancaster and Nancy (Ron) Farmer of Washington Court House; mother-in-law, Marvene Mikesell of Lancaster; in-laws, Jim (JoAnn) Black of Lancaster, Richard (Sharon) Mikesell of Carroll, Mary Mikesell of Lancaster and Cheri Mikesell of Lancaster; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Esther Price Baker; sister, Shirley Baker; father-in-law, Robert W. Mikesell; and brother-in-law, Robert K. Mikesell. Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Sheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster. Burial will be at Forest Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
