William Pickett Sr.
William E. Pickett Sr., 63, Millersport, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at his residence. 
He was a member of Heath Church of Christ, Millersport Lions Club, Millersport Seniors and Buckeye Lake Eagles. He retired in 1990 from Lucent Technologies, was a U.S. Navy veteran, and was associated with his wife in News Travels. 
He is survived by his wife, Letha Pickett of Millersport; daughters, Candace S. (Terry) Himes of Millersport and Karen E. (Travis) Benner of Newark; sons, William E. (Taze) Pickett Jr. of Mounds, Okla., and Mark A. (Deborah) Pickett of Lancaster; grandchildren, Christopher T. Himes, Joshua D. Pickett, Jennifer R. Pickett, Matthew A. Pickett, Brent T. Benner and Trentin W. Benner. 
A special thanks to Millersport Lions Club and Ed Otte. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Helen Pickett. 
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Baltimore, with Pastors Dave Mason and Doug Swan officiating. 
Caring Cremation will follow. 
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where Millersport Lions Club will conduct services at 8 p.m. Friday immediately followed by a military service by Millersport American Legion Post 37. 
Memorials may be given to Pilot Dogs or Heath Church of Christ Building Fund.
