In the name of God Amen- I Willis Barfield of Sumter District in the State of South Carolina, being weak in body but sound of mind and memory and calling to mind the uncertainty of Life- And being desirious to dispose of my worldly Estate- I do hereby make and publish this my last Will and Testament revoking all other wills made by me.

First- I give and bequeath unto my belived Wife Barbary Ann Barfield the tract of Land whereon I now live containing about One hundred and four acres ajoining Lands of A.L. Jones, G.W. Billups , Muniford Tisdale, and Lands Granted to General Thomas Sumter. The Said land I Give to my said Wife during her natural life, and at her death to be equally divided between my children share and share alike.

Secondly- I Give and bequeath unto my Wife all my House hold and kitchen furniture during her natural life and at her death to be equally divided between my children share and share alike.

Thirdly- I Give and bequeath unto my Wife all my Stock of every description during her natural Life and at her death to be equally divided between my children share and share alike.

Fourthly- It is my will and desire that my said Wife have all the provisions of every description that may be Left on the plantation at the time of my death.

Lastly I nominate and appoint my son Barney B. Barfield executor to this my last Will and Testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty third day of June in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourty Two.
