The White Family Cemetery is located on the old White family homeplace in the Bloomville section of Clarendon County. There arethirteen grave stones marking fifteen graves. There were twelve tofifteen metal stobs or posts which may have been marking othersgraves with no markers.

The cemetery may be found by traveling from Sumteron Route 521 South. Turn right onto Route 48, known as Oak GroveRoad. (Oak Grove Methodist Church and Cemetery is on Route 48.)Continue on past Oak Grove Church for 3 or 4 miles. Be careful not toblink or downtown Bloomville will be a blur. A few miles pastBloomville a Pentecostal Church will be passed with the new church onthe left hand side of the road and the old church on the right handside of the road. The next buildings that can be seen along the roadare mobile homes. The land mark to look for is a mobile home and ahouse on the right. Turn down the dirt road there. Go on down thisroad until it ends. There will be a fork in the road, but either forkleads to the cemetery.

Cousins, Dee Lowder Schmidt and Cynthia RidgewayParker of Sumter, South Carolina surveyed this cemetery on 16 August1996. The grass had been recently been mowed by a tractor. It wasobvious that someone keeps the cemetery up. Directions to thecemetery had been given to Dee and Cindy by their cousin, PearlieRidgeway Ridgeway of Bloomville.
