A historical marker marks the DuBose Family burial ground which is near the Lynches River Bridge
on Hwy 15 near Bishopville in Lee County.

Captain DuBose's wife was Laney Witherington, daughter of SC Patriot William Witherington, SR.
     (SC Patriot William Witherington, Sr. is Bill King's 5th Gr-Grandfather)
Laney Witherington DuBose is also buried at this site in an unmarked grave.
