Washington Street School

Wachovia Bank, along with some other businesses are now on this property.

The Confederate Monument is still located on the street, west of the bank.

The school is long gone.

This card is just for fun. Ernest Scarborough reports that his father had a number of cards addressed to,

V.V.V. in St. Charles. He has no idea what the V.V.V. stood for, but the postman obviously knew

where to deliver the cards. Note that this card was postmarked in Timmonsville (Florence County).

St. Charles is in Lee County.
