Sumter District ) This my lastwill and testament made in the year of our Lord one Thousand EightHundred and Thirty nine Witneseth that I Archy Bell of State anddistrict aforesaid Being Weak in body but of sound mind andbeleiving as I do that this mortal must put on immortality I therefore Will and bequeath my landed and perishable property asfollows, Viz, I Will and bequeath to my beloved Wife Margaret myland and plantation whereon I now live being Two hundred and Sevetyfive acres More or less During her natural life or Widowhood and atthe experation of Either to be equally Divided between my fiveChildren Viz, Benjamin Sumter Bell, Margaret Louisa Bell EzekeilDixon Bell, Graham McCullum Bell, Cloumbus Campbell Bell. I alsoWill and bequeath to my beloved Wife Margaret Two Cows and Calves and Two Feather Beds also one hose Which she has the liberty of Choosingto be disposed of at her Death as seemeth the good unto her I alsoWill that one hundred and Twenty five Bushels of corn of the presentCrop be Reservd to my family also a sufficiency of fodder and Porkto sustain the Family one year from this date ----- The Balance ofmy Property not herein mentioned Including my negro boy Simus I,Will, be sold by my Executors my lawfull and just debts paid, andThe Reminder, I Will and bequeath to my beloved Children to beequally didived between them, Viz -- John Bell, Celey Amoson,Harriott Bell, Martha Bell, William Wesley Bell, and James Bell, Ialso appoint John Dixon & James McCallum my lawfull Executors tocarry out This provision of this my last Will and Testament inwhereoff I hereunto sett my hand and seal
