WILL OF SACKFIELD BRACEY

 

In the name of God, Amen, I Sackfield Bracey of the State of SouthCarolina and Sumter District, Being very sick and weak in body, butof Perfect mind and memory, Thanks be given unto God, calling untomind the mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is appointed forall once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament,that is to say principally and first of all, I give and recomend mySoul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it, and my body Irecommend to the earth, to be buried in a decent Christian burial atthe discretion of my executors, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection, I shall receve the same again by the Power of God, andas to touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased god tobless me in this life, I give, devise, and dispose of the same inthe following manner and form, ---- First, I give and bequeth toLucy my Dearly beloved wife, an equal and full part of all my realand Personal Estate, with my eleven children, Say one Twelfth partof all my Estate, All my House Hold furniture I freely give to herexcept one fether bed to each of my children when they become of age. I also do impower my Son Randolph Bracey and Geo Henry Nixon,to be my executors ----

Also I give to my well beloved Sun Randolph a negro boy NamedRansom and the sume of Two hundred Dollars in Cash and an equal partafter all his Sisters and Brothers Get a proposinal shear orequivilant to the said negro boy Ransom and Two hundred Dollars ofwhat property then remains after the younger child becomes of age,and gets and equivelant ----------Also I give to my well belovedDaughter Ann Roach, a negro girl named Rish and Two hundred Dollarsin cash, and Seventy five Dollars for, the price of a horse, which Isold belonging to her, and was gave hir by hir Uncle William Bracey -- and an equal part after all hir Brothers and Sisters git andequivelant part with the above named negro girl and Two hundredDollars ------Also I give to my well beloved Daughter Rebecca Nixona negro boy named Antony and have, allready delivered hir Twohundred Dollars and She is to Draw hir equil part after all hirBrother and Sisters get and equivilant to the said boy Anton and Twohundred Dollars----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also I give to my well beloved Daughter Dorotha Bracey - a negroGirl named Elen and Two hundred Dollars, when She becomes of age andhir equal part after all hir Brothers and Sisters get and equivelantto Said girl Elen and Two hindred Dollars -----------------

Also I give to my well beloved Daughter Martha Bracey a negro boynamed Dones and Two hundred Dollars, when she becomes of age and hirequil part after all hir Brothers and Sisters get an equivelant tosaid Boy Dones and Two hundred Dollars ------------------------

Also my young childrend Named Maclin, Harrison, Meria WashingtonEmely and Sarah, each and all of them as the Become of age andequivelant to said named negros above mentioned and each of them Two hundred Dollars, and when Sarah being my youngest child becomes ofage,

Then all the Ballance remaining to be equilly Devided between myeleven named Children-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
