This fourth day of June one thousand eight hundredand thirty three. - In the name of God - Amen I Martha M. Bradley ofthe State and District aforesaid being at this time in health and ofperfect mind and memory, thanks be to God for the same, calling tomind the mortality of my body, and that it is appointed unto all menonce to die, do make and ordain this my last will and Testament.- Principally and first of all I resign my soul to God who gave it andmy body to the earth to be interred in a decent christian likemanner, and touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased God toblefs me with, I give and bequeath in manner and form following,(Viz) I give and bequeath a negro woman name Anna together with herpresent and future increase to the present and future children of myson David S. Bradley (the said named negro and children being at thistime in the pofsefsior of David S. Bradley aforesaid, but in no wisesubject to the debts or contracts of my said son David S. Bradley. It is my will and desire, that the balance of my negroes, withexceptions hereinafter mentioned, together with the rest of my Estatebe sold at public Auction. - I give one hundred Dollars to Salemchurch as a permanent fund, the interest of which, only, to beapplied to the contingent expenses of the church. - I give andbequeath to my son Thomas, R. Bradley one sixth of the nett proceedsof my estate sold as above mentioned. -

I give and bequeath to my Grand daughter MarthaEllen Bradley (daughter of my son John Bradley) one other sixth partof the proceeds of sale as above directed, the Balance or other fourshares to be kept at interest or vested in Bank Stock, and theprofits or interest arising from the same annually to be equallydivided and paid over to my daughters Martha Bradley, Eliza L.Bradley, Mary I. English and Sarah I. James. - In the event of thedeath of one or more of my daughters, leaving me child or childrenthe profits or interest they would have been intitiled to, to beequally divided between the surviving daughter or daughters, my sonThomas R. Bradley, my grand daughter Martha Ellen Bradley, and thechildren of my son David S. Bradley (they the children of David S.Bradley representing one share) at the death of all my daughtersaforesaid, the principal to be divided between my son Thomas R.Bradley my Grand daughter Martha Ellen, Bradley, and the children ofmy son David S. Bradley and also the children of my daughter ordaughter as the case may be (viz) each set of Grand children oneshare equal with my son Thomas R. Bradley and my granddaughter MarthaEllen Bradley - I give to my John Bradley, Scotts Commentary on theBibles - I give to my son Thomas R. Bradley one feather bed andfurniture. - I give to my son David S. Bradley two hundred Dollarsthe principal to be retained by my Executors and kept at interest andthe interest to be paid over annually for his use and benefit. It ismy will and desire, that my negro man Toney and my negro woman Pheby,be not sold as above but that they be appraised and allowed to chusetheir owners and that the proceeds of appraisement be vested with theproceeds of sales as above directed and disposed of in like manner. I constitute and appoint my son John Bradley Guardian for hisdaughter Martha Ellen Bradley and he is authorize to act for her ashe may deem proper. - The Executors of this my last will andTestament are authorized by me and are at liberty, to purchase forthemselves at sale of my Estate, they complying with the conditions,that may be required of other persons, purchasing at the same sale. -And lastly, I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my sons JohnBradley and Thomas R. Bradley Executors to this my last will andTestament; and do hereby disallow, revoke and disannull all and everyother will and Testament by me made, ratifying and confirming thisand this only to be my last will and Testament - In witnefs whereof Ihave hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first abovewritten, and in the fifty seventh year of the independence of theUnited Sates of America. -
