WILL OF THEODOCIA BRADLEY

 

State of South Carolina

 

In the name of God,Amen, the eleventh day of November in the Year of Our Lord onethousand eight hundred and twenty, I, Theodocia Bradley, of SumterDistrict and State aforesaid, being weak in body but of perfect mind,memory and understanding, yet calling to mind the mortality of mybody and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, domake and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament.--------

 

Principally and first of all I recommend my soulto God who gave it, my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried ina decent Christian manner at the discretion of my Executors, nothingdoubting but that I shall receive the same again at the GeneralResurrection and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hatpleased God to bless me in this life, I demise and bequeath ian themanner following.

 

Imprimis: I order all my just debts, medicinaland funeral charges to be paid out of myestate------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

Item: I will and bequeath to my dear motherMartha Bradley all the property and Estate of every description ofwhich I am now in possession, together with all that property andEstate to which I am entitled by my father Roger Bradley's last willand testament.

 

Item: I nominate and Appoint my mother MarthaBradley Executrix and my brother John Bradley Executor of this mylast will and testament hereby revoking and making void all formerwills legacies and bequeath confirming this and this only to be mylast will and testament.
