IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN- I Patrick Brock of SumterDistrict being in a weak State of health but perfectly sound in Mindand Memory and calling to mind that it is once appointed for all mento Die do make and Ordain this my last will and Testament Principallyand first of all I recommend my Body to be buried in a decent andChristian like manner at the discretion of my Executors Imprimus-Ilend to my beloved Wife Lucy during her natural life four Negroesviz. Peter and his wife Betty, Judy and Mingo with their Increase andat her decease to return to my Children to be equally divided amongthem Share and Share alike and in case either of my Children shoulddie under age to be equally divided among the Survivors I also giveand bequeath to Wife Lucy one Feather Bed and the furniture thereofwith four of my best Cows and Calves to her and her Heirs forever--Item I give and bequeath to my Beloved Sons John and Richard thePlantation whereon I now reside containing three Hundred acres ofland and one other Tract of land containing two Hundred Acresadjoining the Tract whereon I now reside, Also Lands belonging toElizabeth Lawson and Thomas Sumter to be equally divided betwixt themwhen Richard arrives to the age of twenty one years and if either orboth of them Should Die unmarried or under age to be equally dividedamong my Surviving Children share and share alike.

Item I give and bequeath to my two Son's James andWilliam four hundred acres of land on Winbow adjoining Lands of JohnFrierson and Benjamin Davis to be equally divided betwixt them and ifeither or both of them Should Die under age to return to SurvivingChildren share and share alike-- Item I give and bequeath to mybeloved Daughter Elizabeth and the child whereof my Wife in nowPregnant with three Hundred and forty Acres of Land in two separatetracts adjoining Lands laid out to Robert Hamilton P. Porcher andRichard Richardson to be equally divided betwixt them share and sharealike and if either of them should Die unmarried or under age theirpart to be equally divided among my Surviving Children share andshare alike--

Item I give and Bequeath to my Children Elizabeth,John, James, William, Richard and Child that my wife in now pregnantwith all the rest and Residue of my Property to equally divided amongthem on their arriving at the age of twenty one years old except myDaughter Elizabeth and the Child whereof my Wife in now pregnant if aGirl who are to be considered of age at Eighteen years old-and ifeither of my Children should die under age their part to be equallydivided betwixt my surviving Children--- Lastly in Order to carrythis my last Will and Testament into Execution I do hereby Constituteand Appoint my true and Trusty friends William Billups and John Moorealso my son John at twenty one years of age my Executors herebyutterly revoking and disannulling all and every other will andTestament made for me or to My use whatsoever-Dated this seventeenthDay of April one thousand eight hundred-
