WILL OF MARY BRUNSON

 

State of South Carolina ----------

 

In the name of God, Amen, I, Mary Brunson ofSumter District being Sick in body, but of Sound Memory andunderstanding, thanks be to the Lord for the Same, do hereby declare& appoint this to be my last Will & Testament,--herebyrevoking any that I may have heretofore made.--In the first place, Icommend my Soul to Him who gave it. After the payment of my justdebts, I dispose of my worldly estate as follows.-----

 

I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth AnnMullen a negro fellow named Edmund which I have received from theestate of my father as a part of my interest therein.-------

 

I give & bequeath to my daughter Susan Brunsonthe balance of all my right, Share & interest in the Said estateof my father.

 

I give, bequeath & devise to my daughter SusanBrunson all my right, claim & interest in and to my distributiveportion of the negroes Maria & her children & future childrenbelonging to the estate of my deceased husband Isaac Brunson, inwhich negroes I am entitled as an heir and distributee of my saiddeceased husband to one third part--Also I devise to the said Susanall my right and interest as an heir in the real estate of my Saiddeceased husband Isaac Brunson, & I bequeath & devise to herall my interest as an heir at Law of the said IsaacBrunson-----------

 

I give to my daughter Elizabeth the choice of oneof my beds & bed furniture.--I give to my daughter Susan my otherbed & bed furniture after the choice of Elizabeth as above. Allthe rest & residue of my estate, no matter of what consisting, Igive devise & bequeath unto my daughters Elizabeth & Susan tobe equally divided between them Share& Share alike.--

 

It is my express will & desire thedispositions above made to my daughters Elizabeth & Susanrespectively & the dispositions jointly made to them are withthis further direction& with the condition annexed that if eitherthe said Elizabeth of

Susan should die before she arrives at age ormarries the bequest & devised herein made to the one so dyingshall at once best in & belong to the one Surviving her Sodying------

 

I do hereby nominate & appoint mybrothers-in-law Robert Bradford and Amos A. Mottles Executors of thismy last Will & Testament.-----------
