In the name of God, Amen. The second Day of JuneAnno Domine one thousand eight Hundred and nine, I James Conyers ofthe District and State aforesaid being weak in body, but of perfectmind, memory and understanding, thanks be given unto God. Thereforewilling to mind the mortality of my Body, and expecting the time ofmy difsolution to be near, do make and ordain this my last will andTestament. And first of all I give and recommend my Soul to the Handsof God, who gave it, and my Body I recommend to the Earth, to beBuried in a decent Christian like manner at the discretion of myExecutors, not Doubting but at the General Resurrection I shallreceive it again by the Mighty power of God. And as touching suchworldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to blefs me in this LifeI give, bequeath and dispose of in the following manner and form.Imprimis. My will and desire is that my Estate continue togetheruntil my Funeral charges and Just Debts be paid.-- Item. My will anddesire is that my Beloved wife Rachel Conyers shall have her Choiceof all my stock of Horses, a Riding Chair at the Price of one Hundredand Fifty Dollars, and a Negroe Boy known by the name ofHandy.---Item. My will and desire is that the whole Balance of myEstate both Real and Personal be equally divided between my Belovedwife Rachel Conyers, and my five Children, Viz. James Edward Conyers,Carline Rebekah Conyers, Mary Martha Conyers, John McGill Conyers andSusanna Rachel Frierson Conyers Share and Share alike; neverthelefs,provided either of the full Brothers and Sisters Viz. James EdwardConyers, Carline Rebekah Conyers, Mary Martha Conyers and John McGillConyers shall die, under age, or without lawful Ifsue, the Estate ofthe Deceased or Deceaseds of them as the case may be, shall beequally divided between the Survivors of them the said James EdwardConyers, Carline Rebekah Conyers, Mary Martha Conyers, and JohnMcGill Conyers. And if, or provided Susanna Rachel Frierson Conyers,shall die under age or without Lawful Ifsue that one half of herEstate (as afore-said) shall go to my Beloved wife Rachel Conyers ifliving, and the other Mosety or one half, to be equally dividedbetween the rest of my surviving Children.--Item My will and desireis that my Beloved wife Rachel Conyers, shall continue on and havefull privilege of the Plantation whereon I now reside during (cutoff-probably her life) But provided she may think proper or makeChoice to remove off the said Plantation that my Executors shall havefull power to make sale of said Plantation and Tract of Land, andpurchase one other Plantation or Tract of Land at their Discretionfor the use and exprefs purpose of my Children, that is for those ofthem such purchase may be expressly made, provided the money so paidhaving arisen from their parts of my Estate.---

Item. My will and desire is that neither of myChildren aforesaid shall have the liberty of Selling, or disposing ofin any manner whatever their Real Estate under the age of Twenty fiveYears, However my Executors herein after mentioned exprefsly for themmay if they think it most advisable, but no other puson orpusons.--Item. My will and desire is, and I do hereby nominate,constitute, and appoint my Affectionate brother John Conyers, and myTrust friends, Samuel Edgar Plowden, and John I Frierson Executors ofthis my last will and Testament, and do hereby Revoke, Renounce, anddisannul all other wills and Testament ratifying this, and no other,to be my last will and Testament.---Lastly, my will and desire isthat my affectionate Brother John Conyers and my trusty friend SamuelEdgar Plowden Executors aforesaid shall have the whole management ofmy Estate with the exception of that part that may fall to myDaughter Susanna Rachel Frierson Conyers which my will and desire isthat my trusty friend John I Frierson Executor aforesaid, shallReceive from my other Executors for my Daughter on his arriving atthe age of Twenty one Years, and have the whole management for her,neverthelefs, provided my trusty friend John I Frierson shall diebefore my Daughter Susanna Rachel Frierson Conyers may have Receivedher Estate from him, my will and desire in that case is, that saidEstate Return to my other Executors aforesaid, viz. my affectionateBrother John Conyers, and Samuel Edgar Plowden, and be Superintendedby them for my said Daughter Susanna Rachel Frierson Conyers till shemay arrive at the age of Twenty one or Day of Marriage.--In Witnefswhereof I have hereunto set my Hand and seal the Day and Year abovewritten.---
