In the Name of God amen, I John Conyers, of theDistrict and State aforesaid, being in perfect Health, mind memoryand understanding, thanks be to God, and calling to mind that it isappointed unto all men once to die. Do make and ordain this my lastWill, and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say, Irecommend my body, to be decently buried, at the discretion of myExecutors herein after named, and my Soul I recommend it to the Handof Almighty God, who gave it, not doubting but I shall receive itagain, at the resurrection through the merits of Jesus Christ; And astouching such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to bless me within this Life I give and dispose of the same as follows. That is tosay, I wish all my lawful Debts paid ////// as possible,

Item, I give to my well beloved Wife MargaretRuby Conyers her choice of two Negroes from among all that I have, inlieu of Dower, likewise my best Horse and Chair And the remainderof my person Estate, my wish, will, and desire is, should be dividedequally share and share alike between, my Beloved Wife and children,viz. Margaret Ruby Conyers, Susanna McGill Conyers, Ann ElinaConyers, John Conyers, Mary Catherin Conyers, Samuel Edward Conyers,Heriott Taylor Conyers, and Jane Nelson Conyers, and any other, orothers that my said well beloved wife may bear me; Item, my expresswill and desire is that my daughter Ann Elina Conyers should have aNegroe Woman named Tenor with all her issue, or increase in part ofher share of my Estate, as it was expressly her Grand Mothers wishthat she should so have said Negroe Woman and increase, and not overand above an equal share with my other Children which I expresslyunderstood from her. Item, My will and desire is that my b Wife should have the use of the plantation and Tract of Land &where we reside, during her Widow--Hood or should she remove from it,in that case I wish the use of it for my children generally, until mySons should come of age, at which time my Will and desire expresslyis that the whole of my Real Estate be equally divided between all mySons, share and share alike, that is to say one equal part to mybeloved son John Conyers, one other equal part to Samuel E. Conyersand so on, and provided either of my Sons should die under age thattheir share of said Real Estate should then Return to the survivingbrother or brothers as the case may then be; Lastly I do herebynominate, constitute and appoint my trusty Friends, Samuel E.Plowden, Wm. M Plowden, Miles H. Plowden, Benjamin R. Pendergrass andSamuel Pendergrass Jr.

Executors to this my last will and Testament,utterly revoking disannulling and making void all former will orwills by me heretofore made or executed acknowledging this only whichis wrote on one sheet of paper to be my last will and Testament; Inwitness whereof

I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this day of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight Hundred andfifteen, and in the
