I Robert Dingle being now in health and in myright Sensis God be thanked for his goodness to me but Calling tomind the mortallity of the Boddy and knowing it is apointed for manonste to die --- I thare fore make this my last will & testament& first I recommend my Sould into the hands of my graisious Godwho gave it in hopes of my Exceptance in the favour of God throughJesus Christ my Redeemer and as for what worlly goods it has beenplease God to bless me with I give & bequeath in the followingmanner

 

Item---I give & bequeath to my loving wifeMary Dingle a tack of land on Potato Creek of 150 acres granted toJames Frierson--to her during life which Shall be in lew of all dowryof my lands and at her death, Shall return to my two sons Jas Harveyand gabriel wesley also I give to my loving wife Mary Dingle thefollowing Slaves during life viz old Sam vilot Sandy & Milsy tohave & to hold the Same during life at her death to bee dividedamong all my Children ----& not to be moved out of thisState.

 

Item --- I give & bequeath to My daughterEsther McKnight a part of a tack of land Joining lands of James Baron2 Sides & Crosing Potato Creek that Part of the track from Baregum Corner in the long branch & up the branch to Ameos Thames inPine Corner thence up Thames is line to the old track & thenceacross the creek and I also give to My Daughter Esthur McKnight theSlaves given her at Marage which wass those JohnTom---durrey-joung--tom--Jacob--Miley--Binkey--Pattey--Sookey--Silvey--them & there increase for Ever--allso the Stock Cattle &horse--Household furniture which is her part in all Except a Share inSome of my Slaves at my death-----------

Item ---I give & bequeath to my Son AdamDingle the track of Land bought of/ Robert & Live Wise on Potatocreek whare he now plants -& allso a track of land in SanteeSwamp of 100-acres ling on the auter plot granted to Henry Sprey tohave & to hold the Said two tracks of Land as his Part of Mylands allso I give I give the following Negroes to my son Adam Dinglevis--Dick-Kent-narow-Backas (or Blackas)-Supied-Marchguinecy-Charlottee-Saray-hager-to have & to hold the afore SaidLanda & ten Slaves in free & Common Sockage alla the Cattle& hors that he has had Shall bee his part of the Stock whichLanda & Slaves & stock Shall be his part Except a part inSlaves when I die -- I give to my Doughter Harriet Bradford the trackof Land they now live on granted to me allso a track adjoininggranted to John Capps 200-acres on Cudjola branch allso a trackbought of Samuel Capps of 93 * which said lands I give to her &her heirs for Ever -- allsoI give to My Doughter Harriet Bradford thefolloing Slaves-vis-Fredrick Toney-Mingo-Stepney- Albert-Sarey-Molley& Amelia-Blinkey & winter----allso the Cattle & horsiswhich She as got & house hold furniture-which lands Slaves &Stock Shall be her part Except a part in Slaves when I die.--Item Igive to my Son James Henry and my Son Gabriel Wesley all theremainder Part of my land and Each and Evory Part of My Lands &Mill to be theirs wholy and fully and Shood they wish to Devide themthat they do so without a Dispute & allso I give to my Son JamesHervey Dingle the following Negroesvis--Sosbury-Salley-dinah-Tom--Murriah-John JamesPhill-Marey-Amey-Rose-Samson-george-those twelve negroes to have& to hold in free & Common Socage.--Item I give to my SonGabriel wesley Dingle the following Slaves - vixIsaac--Ciras-Delilah-&little Ciras and Nooney-Judey-bigJo-Jack-little Sam-& Charlotte Bob & Pharo-those twelveNegroes a peace and the Lands before mentioned to them Joinly ExceptEither of the two Shood die before he comes of agen then there paretof the Slaves Shall be Equally Devided between them all but theSurviver Shall injoy all the land--I will that My old wench SareyShall be free at my Death allso My boy-Moses & my girl Clarinderthat those three Negroes Shall be made free at My Death by my threeSons Adam Dingle-James Hervey & Gabriel Dingle and that and findthem Land out of the Lands left to James Hevey & Gab wesleys landSay out of the track that Isaac Droze now live upon to work whilethey Live & that my Son James Henry act as gardion for them &pay the taxis for them as Slaves tax & that they Pay to him theretaxis yearly & that the Stock we use of my wife & Sons JamesHenry & Gabriel Wesly Dingle for the use of the Plantation &the Money to bee applied for the benefit of the two boys and I apintfor my Executors to act at My Death--James Henry Dingle and my SonGabriel Wesley Dingle
