In the Name of God Amen I Richard Harvin of theaforesaid State and District (Planter) being very Sick and weak inbody, but of perfect Mind and memory, Thanks be to God; thereforecalling unto Mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it isappointed for all Men Once to die do make and ordain this my lastWill and Testament in the Manner and form following, Viz, I give andbequeath to loving Son James E Harvin Seven Hundred Acres of Landwhere he now lives to be laid out by a line running from North EastCorner of a tract of Land Granted to William Nelson and to extend outto the back line on the North East side of big branch so as toinclude the Seven hundred before mentioned, also one Negro Man NamedGeorge to him and his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to myloving Son Richard Harvin Jun.r three Tracts of land lying on Sammy sSwamp containing Six hundred Acres by original Survey, also oneNegroe Man Named yellow George to him and his heirs for ever Item Igive and bequeath to loving Son Charles Harvin all my lands lying onJacks Creek containing Eight hundred Acres more or lefs, also OneNegro Man Named Solomon to him and his heirs forever Item I give andbequeath to my loving Son John Harvin Eight hundred Acres of Land tobe laid off by a line running from a pine corner Standing betweenfree Dicks field and big branch to James E Harvins line So as toinclude the Eight hundred acres before mentioned also one NegroeWoman NamedDelia to him and his heirs forever.---Item I give andbequeath to my Daughter Nancy Harvin One house and two lottsadjoining each other in Sumterville where William Scott now lives butincase William Scott Complys with his contract for said house andlotts, then my Daughter Nancy to Receive One thousand Nine hundredDollars in liew of said house and lotts, also One Negro Woman NamedSarah to her and her heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to myDaughter Sarah Harvin, Three houses and lotts in Sumterville (Viz)The house and lott occupy d by Samuel Updike The house and lottoccupy'd by James Caldwell also the house and lott occupyied byDaniel Rose also one Negroe Girl Named Nelly to her and her heirs forever---

Item I give and bequeath to my loving Son WilliamR Harvin all the Remaining part of my lands lying and being at SumterCourt house not otherwise bequeth'd, also one Negroe Boy Named Willieto him and his heirs for ever.

Item I give and bequeath to my two loving SonsThomas and Samuel Harvin at the Death of my Wife Frances Harvin Theremaining part of my lands not otherwise bequeath to share and Sharealike my Son Thomas Harvin to the upper part adjoining James EHarvin, and my son Samuel Harvin the lower part, also I give my SonThomas Harvin one Negroe Girl Named Letty and my Son Samuel Harvin one Negroe Boy named Edmond to them and their heirs forever.----

Item I give and bequeath to loving Wife FrancesHarvin during her Natural life the house and lands I now live on withthe remain ing part of my personal property not otherwise bequeathdfor her support and for the Support and Education of my threeyounger children and after her Death the remaining part of mypersonal as afore said to be equally divid between my Children, Viz)James E Harvin Richard Harvin Charles Harvin John Harvin Nancy HarvinWilliam R Harvin Thomas Harvin Samuel Harvin and Sarah Harvin to themand their heirs forever.

And I hereby make Ordain Constitute and appoint mythree loving Sons---- Richard Harvin Charles Harvin and William RHarvin----Executors to this my last Will and Testament and do herebyrevoke Set aside and make void any and all Wills heretofore made byme and declare this to be my last Will and TestamentIn Witnef whereofI have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Twelth day of December inthe year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seven and in theThirty Second year of the Independency of the United States ofAmerica---

Codicil

Be it known to all men by these presents that IRichard Harvin of the District of Sumter and State of South Carolina(planter) Have made and declared my last will and Testament in Writ-ting bearing date the twelth day of December One thousand eighthundred and Seven I the said Richard Harvin by this present Codicilto ratify and Confirm my said last will and Testament, But do orderand direct that one Lott of Land in Sumterville purchased at SheriffSale, Sold as the property of John McDonell containing one half Acre,One other Lott lying and being on the North Side of the gaol lottadjoining thereto and East on the main Street containing one halfAcre, also one other Lott lying on the East side of the Gaolcontaining One Acre, being put in the Legacy left to my Son William RHarvin through mistake, be sold to the best advantage by myExecutors, the Money arising there from go toward the discharge of myDebts, and my will and meaning is that this Codicil be adjudged to bea part and parcel of this my last Will and Testament and that allthings there in mentioned and Contained be faithfully and trulyperformed and as fully and amply in every respect as if the Same wereso declared and Set down in my last will and Testament, Witnefs thistwelth day of December One thousand eight hundred and Seven.
