In the name of God Amen.

I Elizabeth C. Ioor of the District of Sumter inthe State aforesaid being weak in the body but of sound mind andmemory thanks to God for the Same do make and ordain this to be mylast will and Testament in manner and form following&emdash;Imprimismy body I wish to be decently buried at any convenient spot myfriends may think fit.

 

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my belovedbrother John Gabriel Guignard the sum of Two Hundred Dollars to himand his heirs forever.

 

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my belovedsister Margaret Horry a like sum of two hundred Dollars to her andher heirs forever.

 

Item: I give devise and bequeath unto my belovedNephew James L. Guignard three negroes viz. Stephen, Jerry and Jackto him and his heirs and assigns forever.

 

Item I give devise and bequeath unto by belovedniece Caroline Guignard a negro Fellow named Rolla to her and herheirs forever.

 

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my belovednephew John Ioor and Benjamin G Ioor the Plantation whereon I nowlive to them and their heirs and assigns forever.

 

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my belovedniece Ann Mayrant-my kitchen furniture- Windsor Chairs and DiningTables.

 

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my belovedniece Ann M Chevis a negro Fellow named Primus a Bedstead Bed beddingand Chamber Furniture &endash; also one Chest of Drawers and a Suitof mourning to her and her heirs and assings forever.

 

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my grandniece Ann Ioor (daughter of John Ioor) a negro wench named Agnes andher two children together with her future increase to her and herheirs forever.

 

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my nephewJohn Ioor the one half of the remainder of my negroes to him and hisheirs or assigns forever.

 

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my belovednephew Benjamin G. Ioor the other half of the remainder of my negroesin trust never the less and for the following intents and purposesthat is to say in trust for the use benefit and behoof, as well forthe Children he now has, as for those which he may hereafter have tothem and their heirs or SurvIoor or SurvIoors of them forever shareand share alike.

 

Item The Tract of Land I own near Stateburghcontaining about thirty acres it is my will and desire should be soldby my Executors or Executor (should only one of them qualify) also myPlantation Tools, Waggon and all other personal property not hereinbefore particularly mentioned, Be sold in like manner the proceedswhereof to be appropriated in payment of my just Debts and Legaciesand any overplus remaining after paying my debts and Legacies I giveand bequeath to ------------------------------------

And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint mynephews James L. Guignard and John Ioor Executors to this my lastwill and Testament hereby revoking all others by me heretofore madedeclaring this and no other to be my last will and Testament.

I give and bequeath unto my niece Ana Mayrant allmy ketchen and household furniture except one bedstead bed beddingand Chamber Furniture & one chest of Drawers.

 

Item I give Devise and bequeath unto my NephewSamuel H. Mayrant one negro fellow named Jerry and do now revoke thatclause giving him to my nephew James L. Guignard but unto my nephewSamuel H. Mayrant Devise and bequeath to him and his heirs forever. It is my will and desire that Simon be sold unto William Gaulding ata reasonable price. It is also my will and desire that Mellissent beauthorised to look for a master and be sold at a reasonable price. Itis also my wish and desire that, Julliet shall stay with niece AnnMayrant, March 5th 1815. (February was typed, lined out, and Marchtyped above.)
