WILL OF ANTHONY LEE

 

In the name of God, Amen. I Anthony Lee of SumterDistrict in the State of South Carolina being sick and debilitated inbody, but blest with reason and understanding an impaired, do makeand ordain this my last Will and Testament. First, It is my desirethat my body should be decently buried without expense or parade. Tothe merciful hand of my all-gracious, faithful God and Redeemer Icommit my immortal Soul. Secondly. It is my will and desire that, outof the property with which it has pleased Heaven to blefs me, all mylawful debts should be paid. Thirdly. It is my will, that, after thepayment of my debts, my dear and beloved wife Jemmima Lee should havea third of all the remaining property and that she should take thetwo thirds of the household furniture designed for my children anddivide it among them as she may think proper - giving James Lee agood bed and furniture. Fourthly. It is my will and desire that aftermy beloved wife has gotten her third, the rest of the property shouldbe equally divided among my two Sons, William and Timothy Lee, and myfour daughters, Ann Spears, Mary Jones, Elizabeth and Martha Lee, andthat the share falling to my said daughter, Ann Spears, should belongexclusively to her and the heirs of her body not subject to be takenor disposed of by her husband or any other person - Sixthly. It is mywill that my Executors should sell the land on which I now live andpay my debts out of the present, thereof, before any of the otherproperty is sold. Seventhly. I nominate and appoint my two Sons,William Lee and Timothy Lee Executors of this my last Will andTestament.
