WILL OF KENNETH MCCALLUM

 

In the name of God Amen the fourth day ofSeptember one thousand eight hundred and two. I Kenneth McCallum ofSalem County and State of South Carolina planter being weak in bodybut of perfect mind and Memory thanks be given unto God thereforecalling unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowing it isappointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my lastWill and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I giveand recommend my Soul into the hand of God that gave it and my to theEarth to be buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter namednothing doubting but I shall receive the Same at the generalResurection by the mighty power of God and as to worldly Estate Idispose of the Same in the following manner and form. Imprimus Igive to Elizabeth my Wife for her dowry and that during the time sheremains my Widow the Plantation and House thereon whereon I now livecontaining two hundred Acres of land orginally granted to DavidWilliams as also I lend my said Wife on Mars Bridle and her sideSaddle and one half of all my removeable property and lastly I giveto mysaid Wife on half of the yearly income of my Ferry to be paid bymy Executors to my said Wife every Year and that punctually duringher life fir her maintenance. Item I give and bequeath to my SonMalcom McCallum all and Singularly the remaining part of all my realand moveable Estate not already mentioned and given to my said Wifein manner above specified, and after my said Wife is Deceased I giveand bequeath to my said Son Malcom McCallum the above mentioned twohundred Acres of land whereon I now live, I do hereby constitutenominate and appoint Captain Joseph Way and my said Son MalcomMcCallum Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do herebydisannul all and every other former Testament, Will, legacies andbequests and Executors by me in any wise before named Willed andbequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my lastWill and Testament. In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my handand Seal the day and Year above written
