In the Name of God Amen) I Elizabeth Manning of Sumter districtIn the state of South Carolina Single Woman, Being sick and Weak inbody But of Sound Mind and memory, do make And ordain this my lastwill and Testament In manner and form following, that is to say FirstI Desire that all the property I pofsefs at the time of my death, beSold end a credit of twelve months, and the money arising from SuchSale to be applied towards the Schooling and Mantainance of myChildren and I also desire that my Executor hereafter named Shallpurchase a young Negroe woman with the money due me from EdwardPlowden, and Hire out Said negroe untill my youngest Child arives tothe age of twenty one years and then Said negroe to go to my sonHirram and his heirs forever, and her Increase if any at that Time tobe Equally Devided between my other children then Living Share andShare alike, to them and them Heirs for ever----- Lastly I nominateConstiture and appoint My Friend John Hodge, Executor to this my LastWill and testament, In witnefs whereof I have hereunto sett my handand Seal this thirteenth day of July Annodomini 1809---------
