In the name of God Amen. I John McElveen Sen.rbeing very weak in body but of perfect mind & memory thanks be toGod for it- But calling to mind the Mortallity of my Body- & thatit is appointed for all men once to die.--I have thought fit to makethis my last Will and Testament. Imprimise. I give & bequeath mySoul into the Hands of Almighty God who gave it and my Body to beburied in a decent & Christian like manner at the Discretion ofmy Executors hereafter to be named in sure & certain hope of theRisurrection from the Dead.---

Respecting such worldly goods as it hath pleasedGod to blefs me in this life, my Will & desire is that all mylawful Debts be first paid out of my Estate.---

Item I give & bequeath unto my well belovedwife Elizabeth one negro wench named Dinah, one Bead & Furniture,six head of cattle & eleven head of Sheep also the use of all myHousehold & kitchen Furniture during her life & at her deathto return to my Estate with the Ifsue of the s.d negro wench Dinah& to be equally divided among my Children---

Item I give & bequeath unto my son William onesorrel Mare known by the name of Flag with her Increase & onehundred & fifty Dollars to be paid out of my Estate as aCompensation for his Servicas in my Family since he has arrive tomature age.---

Item. My Will & desire is that the whole of myRemaining Estate be sold after my Death and the amount to be equallydivided-among all my Children, *(on my Son John paying one hundredand five Dollars to my Estate on account of that amount paid by me onhis account.

Lastly I do hereby nominate & appoint my wellbeloved Wife Elizabeth & my Son William my sole Executors to thismy last Will & Testament.--Revoking & Disannulling all otherWills, Legacies & bequests whatsoever, declaring this & noother to be my last Will & Testament In witnefs whereof I havehereunto set my Hand & Seal this ninth day of June Domini onethousand eight hundred & thirteen
