In the Name of God, amen, I Charles Miller ofSumter district State of South Carolina being of sound mind &understanding, do make this my last will & testament asfollows
First. I do hereby authorise & empower myexecuters to sell all my real estate except as herein after excepted,on a credit, of one, two & three years taking a mortgage of thepremises, the land I purchased of W.m Vaughan to be divided into lotsas my executors may think best.--It is also my will that they sellall my, Stock, furniture & provisions, except my Waggon &team, a horse & chair, necefsary Plantaion tools, & suchStock, furniture & provisions as may be necefsary for myfamily---
It is my will that my family be Kept together& that they live on the lot purchased of A Campbell as soon asthe necefsary out buildings can be errected for their accomodationtherein, to be plain & cheep & that they reside thereon untilsuitable buildings can be errected in my Plantation South of Sumterville, which is not to be sold, --unlefs my executors should deem thesale thereof or a part thereof to be for the benefit of my family.that my negroes that my executors may not sell be worked their on forthe support & education of my family.
The said Plantation or rather a part thereof Ipurchased of Geo. Allen & Mary his wife that the said Mary hasnot given a renunciation of her in heritance thereon, It is my willthat my executors take such legal measures to obtain the same as maybe nefsary also to obtain the renunciation of Dower of A Campbellswife to the lot purchased of him---
By my contract with A Campbell for said lot, I amto pay off his Bond to the executor of Daniel Rese for the said lot,that is to say the balance due thereon it is therefore my wish &desire that the same be done It is also my will that the remainder ofmy estate real & personal after the payment of my debts beequally divided between my wife & children one third part thereofto my wife & the other two thirds equally between my children asthey come of age or marry with benefit of Survivorship amongst mychildren It is my will that the proceeds of the sales of my lands& personal estate directed to be sold, or so much thereof withsuch of my debts as my executors may be able to collected be appliedas may be necefsary to the payment of my debts.
Lastly I nominate & appoint my wife MargaretMiller executrix hereof my Brother Stephen D Miller & my executers hereof & Guardians of mychildren---
