Will of George Pyland

 

In the Name of God Amen

I George Pyland of Claremont County SumterDistrict and State of South Carolina being weak in Body, yet of asound and Perfect understanding and memory, do constitute this MyLast will and Testament and devise it to be received by all assuch-

 

Imprimis, I give and bequeath unto My DaughterElizabeth Sharplin one feather bed and furniture one cow and calf onebay mare Cold Poll Blond I give the same to her, her Heirs andafsigns forever)

Item, I give and bequeath to My son Isham Pylandone hundred acres land more or lefs whereon he now resides one bedand furniture cow and calf and one Bay horse named Diamond, I givethe same to him his heirs and afsigns forever-

 

Item, I give and bequeath to my Daughter SarahGlover one bed and furniture one cow and calf and fifty acres landlying on the North Side Mains Branch to be laid out from Diggs uppercorner next Davis Collins land running down said branch until he getsfifty acres Said land will also Join Henry Jones Land,----

 

Item, I give and bequeath unto my son EdwardPyland one hundred acres land lying on North Side Maine Branchadjoining land whereon He now Lives formily granted to JosephFerguson also one bed and furniture one cow and calf and one DarkSorrel Gelding Col Dolphin, I give the same to him his heirs andafsigns forever---

 

Item I give and bequeath to my tow grandsons JamesPyland and Ransom Pyland one hundred and eight acres land whereon myson Edward Pyland now lives and should either die without heirs theone living to have the hole and should each die without heirs ifsuethe above land to be equally divided amoung their brothers andsisters, my Desire is that my son Edward Pyland and his Wife may liveon said land during their natureal lives but should they think properto move of the land then the above named grandson may take pofsefsionof the Same---

 

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter AnnWhite one bed and furniture and one cow and calf I give the same toher and her heirs forever---

Item I give and bequeath unto my Son George Pylandone feather bed and furniture one cow and calf one horse caldLightfoot and one half of a tract of Land Granted to Myself for threehunddred acres and belongs to the same tract that I willd fifty acresfrom to my Daughter Sarah Glover &endash; I give the same to her andher heirs forever---

 

Item I give and bequeath unto my grandson JohnPyland one Cow and calf one feather bed and furniture and horse CaldSnip also one half of the three hundred acres granted to myself afterMy Daughter Sarah Gover takes her fifty acres Say the Balance to bedivided between my son George and grandson John Pyland, the said JohnPyland to have and to hold the part whereon I now live with all theHouses and appertainencas thereto, but should my grandson John PylandI give the same to him and his heirs and afsigns for ever

 

Item My will and desire in that my Stock of allkins be sold with ------- and China, furniture and the money arisingtherefrom to be Divided between Mervey (?) Ann White and BarshebaTrimnal, My will and desire is that the three Cattle lent to Same ofmy children be returned and tahe same to go as I have willed my otherstock.

 

I do hereby appoint constitute make and ordain myfriend Col. John Moore and John Pyland Executors to this my last Willand Testament and I do hereby utterly Disallow Revoke and Disannulall other former wills legacies and executors and confirm this to bemy last Will and Testament in Witnefs whereof I have hereunto set myhand and seal this the 25th Day September Eighteen Hundred andTwelve
